Got everything good, grinding, drilling, double tapping, penetration, butt welding, glorious holes, pipe laying, dry railing, degradation, punching, proper lubricant usage when drilling, and even when to consult the (drill) doctor when you have trouble drilling. Bravo.
Too Good, Pinned!
Don't forget all the hose
@@michaelosmon the hose all look pretty shady, just as I would expect....
Is there a cure for workshop envy? You're half my age and triple my abilities.
Build more bomb shelters.
For the US government to know.
Their aggression towards Russia has gone too far.
I hope we bring the situation to a crisis.
Because if we don't finish it, we risk losing Russia
The genocide of Ukrainians, the death of Russians on the conscience of the United States.
Ukrainians and Russians are one people!
The borders of the USSR are the only legal borders of Russia.
Hands off Ukraine! And the entire USSR!

Any updates? I really miss watching new videos from you guys! Hope everything is good with you both! And doggies of course ❤
They couldve finished it by now
I hope tha6 everything goes well with you and your wife. It is suddenly so silent on your channel and we, your fans and myself love to hear from you again! Don't let us wait any longer.
Hope all is well! One of my unexpectedly favorite new channels, and then with a neat shelter restoration series, and suddendly radio silence!
Like everyone else, hope all is well. Miss seeing updates from you two.
We all need more Herb-O-Matic in our life!
Hope all is well. Miss y'all.
I Freaking love your videos,, educational, humorous, and your Wife has got a great personality ❤😮,. Thank you 😊
Hope you'll post more video of your adventures many of us enjoyed your content
Looking forward to a new bunker update soon!
Normally I don't appreciate guys "trying" to be funny, but you incorporate it perfectly into the subject matter and it works for you because it is actually funny and it doesn't slow down everything else that's going on.
I really miss you guys hope all is well
This is the most underrated CZcams channel ever.
I knew it was you who got at the Nord Stream.
It wasn't me.
@@HerbOMatic Must've been that witch who appears occasionally.
LOL, that was a blast! 🇺🇦
Nord Stream :)) thank u from Moscow. We live better
Not many people will get the norm stream joke unfortunately.
Hey guys. Just checking in. All ok? Miss these videos. Miss you both. ❤
You should use some window-screen on top of the grid stuff (with some simple hot glue) to keep muddobbers/wasps/hornets/etc... out of there.
Also, mice and rats can squeeze through the most amazingly tiny holes.
👍☑️ missing you guys……… please come out of the bomb shelter and play with us again, we promise to be good and like, follow and comment!
It would be nice to see some new video of the progress of the bunker...
Any updates guys? This was a fun project.
We need more input :-)
So it was the Herb-O-Matic, in the Baltic Sea with the Angle Grinder!
A recomendation, beneath the expanded metal panel, add a metal mosquito wire or two to prevent roaches and other creepy crawlies from getting in.
I will have to make a little frame and throw a metal screen in there.
It would also stop bee's from building a hive under there.
I need me my Herb-O-Matic Bomb Shelter fix!!!!!!! Where you at?????
Hi all many of us are still looking forward to seeing you bomb shelter come to completion I hope all is well with you and your wife
Haven't seen an update in a while, hope everythings doing well for you two.
I hope your doing well, I'm sure your busy, but i enjoy your video's and hope you have more coming soon. Thank you.
Somehow i'm gettin strong Jon Lajoie vibes from this. Nice
Came back today to see if anything new was happening. These videos were a lot of fun.
The way you kept that grate from being permanent is pretty clever and will be really nice when you inevitably do have to clean crap out of it. Also the rain shedding tilt is a VERY important feature....
Thanks DingleFlop! I had to calculate the rain fall angle optimized for Wednesdays.
Just wait ‘til the yellow jackets, bald face hornets & bats find that nice nest you built for ‘em ;-)
@@haramanggapuja that's true! Do you think those critters will mind the constant draft?
@@haramanggapuja pygmy rattlesnakes for sure
@@haramanggapujajust put a layer of steel flyscreen over the end of the 4” pipe, so the expanded metal is holding it firmly in place.
Dude, you have every child and mans dream in your back yard. Subbed. This is awesome dude.
And proper mature editing with zero innuendos. Can't wait for more on this!
Hi Herb, question for you. Can’t you simply attach the fan in the shelter to the duct and remove the hose? I would think that would pull more hot air out since it would be closest to the ceiling and the shortest route to the vent pipe?
Much better flow as well since it wouldn't be making a 90° turn and then going through that wonky slinky hose duct. A simple rubber sleeve would also isolate noise between the fan and the pipe.
That would prevent the waves though.
I wanna know is that hose sucking or blowing!
Can't wait to see more bunker stuff
I died at the end when you said "that looks grate guys". Found your channel today and watched all the videos in the series, good humor for sure.
Itching for the next episode. Congrats on the 1.1 mil views!!!!!!
Ain't no reason this should be so funny, I know nothing about anything in this video but damn was it wholesome
Congratulations! You've reached a whole new level of... something. 🤨
Bro, we miss your videos!
A butterfly cocoon, LMFAO. I truly appreciate your sense of humor
a little disappointed that there is no Ep. 15 and more, i watched the first 14 and enjoyed them very much. i hope you go back to it or post if you did. thanks thr the 1st 14 episodes they were fun.
You should consider putting in a mesh filter to keep the air quality in check on top of that pipe as well. It will also keep bugs from going inside the pipe, because they will at some point.
Will there be any update any time soon ?
What happened to you guy's? Been waiting on some updates. Y'all have so much cool energy......
Great series, Think you should build a “ dog box “ on lid as camouflage. HA
Wish you'd make some more CZcams videos love watching your videos
5 months, damn am I super excited for the newest video.
Waiting for the next video in this series 🙌🏽
8 Months and no bunker videos whats up chap.
I'm thinking the wife got tired of the witchie poo jokes and made Herb a permanent part of the shelter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
My word, the innuendos had me rolling!
Man! I'm really impressed with what you've managed to accomplish with this project! You got skills, man! Welding skills! I'm jealous!
The first minute thirty was so exhaustingly hilarious
How's it going now? I just watched the last one can't wait for a update
Mice will fit through that mesh and you have created a perfect nesting spot above the mesh with access to both out side and in to your bunker just like they like it
Missing your videos, hope all is well
Wasps are going to love that.
The series NO ONE knew they needed, but 2 months for my next pipe laying session is reminding me too much of my marriage. updates? please !
How about moving the dog house on top of the shelter door? It would help conceal it plus pay homage to that 1960's classic, Hogan's Heroes. Just a thought.
For me, having a working bathroom, (not composting), is at the top of the list after air. Looking good so far....
I wonder if that toilet is plumbed into the sewer line, even at that depth? If so, that'd be awesome. No macerator + pump required.
After a few months I still wonder where the poop goes.
There is no video posted in a long time so I figure that you'r lost in the sewer in search of an answer.
Wish you the best! Hopefully till soon.
For the door going in I would recommend getting a hold of American safe room. We should give you a decent blast door. For the ventilation system I would recommend getting ahold of Atlas survival shelters and getting an actual NBC air filtration system and also they can provide the blast valves
Gotta love the uneven table
Give that antique NiCad drill a freaking medal 🏅. This build turned out really well. Great job!
I’ve still got my blue era hammer drill, sabre saw and circ saw. I reckon the chuck on the blue era drill is better than my new brushless. The new ones have an issue with the chuck always undoing due to torque loads.
Неплохой подвал. Сможешь хранить там банки с консервированными овощами.))
А если вдруг?.....

My better-half says, "You should kill all the spiders! Eww!" Lol! I'd suggest adding black aluminum bug screen on both ends on the vent pipes. Using gavanized 4" metal dryer duct-pipe instead of flexable ones. Mice can chew thru about anything, but fiberglass digest easier than pet resistant-aluminum screen. We use it for all our window & door screens. Then seal everything you can, with either weather striping &/or caulk around all doors, corners, around pipes & wires, cracks, or other entry points for unwanted guest. Maybe aid some anti-rust paint on your vent pipe and doors. Maybe, use a concrete paint or stain on the walls, ceiling & floors. Spiders don't like the smell of fresh paint & will not go near those areas. But before any painting & once you can make your bunker and entryway weather tight, might need another round of bug bombs to kill whatever creepy crawlies survived? We only use the Raid Fumigating Foggers that don't leave a residue. (They come in a blue 3-pack.) Also, Odoban or simular brands make disinfectant foggers fumigators for odors and sanitizing everything all at once. They work well and do get rid of odors, even fire and smoke. Anyways, all that is up to you, but it will make your bunker clean, smell way better, & be safer too. Bunkers should be air tight, take a look at Atlas Survival Shelters for more ideas or improvements? Looking forward to your next video.
Your wife is going to heaven, I know it because so is mine. How they put up with our sense of humor is beyond me.
That's one of those "Spicy butterflies"
Herb-o-Matic WHere you at Brother? Did you fall in the Glorious Hole.
I can't wait to see what you do with this shelter, so excited!
Bees or wasps are gonna love nesting inside of that thing.
good evening to u again @Herb-O-Matic still watching from the Philippines
You should try the AC down there with the exhaust vent of the AC going out the top vent. That way it could be moving air through there and pulling heat out. There is a used solar panel vendor down there you could power it with.
"If you're ever looking for something, look in the hardest place to reach cause that's where it's gonna go" PREACH BROTHER. (10:38 ish)
I love the juxtaposition of the organization and chaos your workshop has. Reminds me of my computer build area.
Big project is to build a box and bore a couple of holes outside. Mount a window unit AC in the box and another blower in the box's vents. I am sure that a pretty small unit will do an amazing job of cooling. The walls and such are a thermal mass but they are also incredible insulation. 90 is just too high!
Ya'll Take Care and Good luck with your work, John
Another idea would be one of those split unit heat pumps. They just need the coolant lines ran and are about $1200. That would definitely provide all the cooling that you could need. They also heat if that was ever needed...
Hope u do more bunker stuff soon
Did you fall off the world? Miss the bomb shelter vids hopefully y'all are good and make some new videos
"If you're ever looking for something, look in the hardest place to reach, cause that's where it's going to go." SAGE ADVICE!!
Been a long time for an update on the restoration 🤷🏻♂️🙂
Cant wait for the rebuild to start! Will be so Exciting to see what ya do to the place!
👍☑ Another fun video creation Herb, Tks!
Can't wait to see what u do to the bunker next & hopefully u find all the vent pipes
Omg the narration in this video is hilarious
got me at the edge of my seat. thats a cool hole in the ground. cant wait to see what you end up doing.
Love watching this channel I am amazed what you and you wife did to the bunker so far.
I love the exhaust fan attached to a 8ft flexible hose. Who would have thought of that. Anyone else would just attach fan directly to the pipe coming out of the wall. Cheers 😮
The nord stream got me
Area of a 4 inch pipe is 12.5 square inches. Area of a 10 inch pipe is 78.5 square inches. Your new outlet area is 66 square inches. You go from say a velocity of 1, to .189 while the flow rate stays the same. Yeah I know it's the little things in life that give us joy... I randomly do unnecessary math when I think I can figure it out. :p
I put it in ChatGPT for fun. This was it's response.
If you put a 10 inch pipe over a 4 inch pipe and seal one end, the air velocity in the 10 inch pipe would be slower than the air velocity in the 4 inch pipe. This is because the 10 inch pipe has a larger cross-sectional area than the 4 inch pipe, so the same amount of air would be able to flow through the 10 inch pipe at a slower velocity.
The relationship between velocity and cross-sectional area is described by the equation:
velocity = flow rate / cross-sectional area
where flow rate is the amount of air moving through the pipe per unit time, and cross-sectional area is the area of the pipe's cross section. Since the cross-sectional area of the 10 inch pipe is larger than the cross-sectional area of the 4 inch pipe, the velocity of the air in the 10 inch pipe will be slower.
It is important to note that the change in air velocity will depend on the flow rate of the air through the pipes, as well as the cross-sectional area of the pipes. If the flow rate is the same in both pipes, the change in velocity will be greater in the 4 inch pipe than in the 10 inch pipe because it has a smaller cross-sectional area.
Additionally, the change in air velocity will also depend on the length of the pipes and any obstructions or resistance present in the pipes. If the pipes are of different lengths, or if one pipe has more obstructions or resistance than the other, the change in velocity will be affected.
To calculate the change in air velocity, you would need to know the flow rate and cross-sectional area of the air in each pipe, as well as the length and any obstructions or resistance present in the pipes. You can then use the equation above to determine the change in air velocity.
I like the progress you’ve made on the bunker. If you can get the temperature inside the bunker.Cold enough it’ll be a lot easier to work on it.
This channel is great haha! Love the humor and fun to watch this project progress!
Your wife is great 👍 I really enjoy watching her .
I agree, we could use more close ups of her, and less butt shots of Herb.
@@kgraydakota FACTS💯
Think you really need a 2nd one for airflow. Awesome job
Yup… he should put a candy cane at the other end. For air intake
@@pigidly I would imagine the candy cane style end should be easier to build as well
Thanks for giving us a peek at that project car, solid job all around
I clicked because the project sounded cool... I wasn't ready for the jokes in the first 2 minutes 😂🤣 Hilarious. Looking forward to seeing more project updates.
Your intro was hilarious, love the innuendos. Good job on the exhaust also.
The commentary was almost as glorious as the gloryest hole.
You could make it the ultimate man cave!
As a Central European, I chuckled at the Nord Stream. 😆
Very fun video and the wife was fun also keep it coming more fun............
Hey 👋. Your making great progress on on the shelter and it's obvious you have everything under control and I'm a little bit envious of your abilities. I was folling along on this and one thing stood out to me is that little lady of yours needs a tall handle on the lid so she doesn't have to strain to open or close the lid ,now I'm not complaining or anything like that if she's willing I'm not complaining lol
Finally someone in CZcams with a workshop that looks like mine
Loving the snark as you go. Alost lost it choking when I saw Nord Stream.
