I feel bad for Helen...she's one of those seemingly perfect women on the outside, but you can tell she was so lonely before she met Lillian and is dying to have a close group of girlfriends.
It's the most beautiful acting from Kristen Wiig as she watches her newly wedded best friend leave. You can feel that bubbling of sadness underneath with that understanding that something in your personal life just changed forever and it's never going to be the same again but the happiness is still there. Really, really moving. The song is absolutely perfect for this scene.
I think the movie portrayed that concept really well! Annie is watching Lillian embark on a journey that will take her places Annie can't go. While change is necessary and sometimes welcomed, it is often also hard and sad to know that from this moment on, things will be different.
Love the part where out of all the people in the crowd, Lillian locks eyes on Annie. Shows how meant Annie meant to her in her life growing up. Lovely little wave to say goodbye to Annie.
I like to imagine after this Annie and Helen do become great friends and when it’s Annie’s turn to get married to Nathan we get a bit of a repeat process where Helen does everything she can to make the wedding perfect and it’s Lillian who gets jealous this time! 😂
Helen becomes a professional wedding planner, and Annie reopens her bakery and becomes Helen’s go-to baker for wedding cakes. Helen plans Annie and Nathan’s wedding, where Lilian is the maid of honor. Annie, Helen, Lilian, and Megan stay friends and go out often for sushi. 😊
Rose Byrne is such a talented underrated actress, she absolutely nails Helen’s character. At first you hate her but then you can tell she just wants friends but doesn’t how to make them. I’d love a second bridesmaids where Helen and Annie become the best friends
my favorite anne and helen friendship moment is when they are in the car trying to get rhode's attention and she's like 'LOOOK I'M TOPLESS!' and helen is joking alongside her lmao
Especially when your dating life and personal life sucks along with not bringing a date to an actual wedding and then getting rejected by other female guest's who either have a date or just know you enough to not want anything to do with you.
No, I'm glad they resolved the love story. She'd put in the work to earn a reconciliation with Rhodes, and it was nice to see that. Also that scene where you realise just how lonely Helen is and how much she truly craves friendship, and the fact that she came through for Annie in the end (getting Rhodes to come pick her up) - these are all good character moments. It would have been a shame to lose them.
Does anyone notice at the end he says that he has to 'change into his cop uniform' and puts her in the backseat?? That could suggest they are probably gonna do it at some point before he takes the call..
While Helen does have a good heart deep down and is misunderstood, I can’t help but feel like Helen bullied her way into replacing Annie’s position as both wedding planner and Lillian’s best friend and had an easy time doing it because of her wealth. She saw Annie and the wedding planning situation as an easy scapegoat for her insecurities. I feel sorry for Annie as well because it seemed like when she was at her worst, no one was there for her. Yeah a lot of her problems were her own fault but Lillian was kind of a shitty friend to Annie during the planning of the wedding. She basically ignored her in favor of Helen and expected Annie to stay quiet and complacent as she watched her best friend since childhood kick it with some random chick she met a few weeks ago. I’d feel hurt too.
I hate how helen is trying to put all the spotlight on her but she aint even special shes just a normal ass bride but the blonde girl is the maid of honor
I have anxiety and panic attacks panic disorder and flashbacks PTSD because of my past and I have four panic attacks or two everyday at school and thoughts of self harm

@@Defffunnystuff What? It's not real life!? Thank you for mansplaining that to me! I would never have known.
@@melanienelson1148 😂😂👍🏻
Seemed like a shallow rich chick with no sense to me. Too much money, has no clue about how the other half lives.
@@melanienelson1148 hahaha this is my favorite response!
Lillian's dad was over the entire charade.... He ain't paying for this shit 😂😂😂
I agree here😂😂😂
Annie and Helen should’ve had more scenes cause I love enemies to friends excellence
More than the entire film?

You can see in Lilian’s eyes she still cares for her bestfriend and yet trust she’ll be okay and also believes and rooting for her.
I wish they also showed if Annie rediscovered her passion for baking.
Love the part where out of all the people in the crowd, Lillian locks eyes on Annie. Shows how meant Annie meant to her in her life growing up. Lovely little wave to say goodbye to Annie.
Megan laughing about what TSA is going to do to her brother always makes me laugh
same 😂

I don't want any jealousy! Just fun and hijinks
Perfect plot to Bridesmaids 2.
Well done.

I love that Melissa has her actual husband in this film “I’m gonna climb you like a tree” 🤣
I love Chris O’ Dowd 😭 he’s so adorkable
Mary Kate watch the IT CROWD on Netflix lmao
Lillian said Helen is a great person when you get to know her.. and it's true.....
Should be a part 2. Helen and Annie would've been good friends...
my favorite anne and helen friendship moment is when they are in the car trying to get rhode's attention and she's like 'LOOOK I'M TOPLESS!' and helen is joking alongside her lmao
When she's getting in the car is so emotional to me.
It's saying goodbye to your best friend but also wishing love for the future. So beautiful to me.
Ok, Melissa is gold in this movie!!! I laugh so hard at her
I just love it when he's standing there...and how he kisses her! Swoon!!
yesss. he is so charming

1:22 i love that.
ikr!!
i think the lady on the right is absolutely fucking disgusting
UGH Rhodes character in this film is MY TYPE OF GUY !!! He literally reminds me of my fiance
1:36 couple goals👏🏻😂
Correction Helen getting Rhodes to take Annie home was the last one
Should have a part 2.. Helen wasn't bad she was just lonely with terrible step kids .. she has a perfect image but Helen was far from perfect
They cut off the best scene, seriously, when he puts her in the back of the car, "you don't think I forgot about the reckless driving"!
I only came here for 2:37
Helens final act…..
Annie’s ride.
the moment at 2:25 breaks my heart.
There's a very similar Scene in My best friend wedding.
Rhodes is the most charming love character.. what the actual fuck I can't take this
This makes me laugh...then cry. then I laugh my ass off, then I cry my eyes out. Oh dear...
¨I put a loaded gun in Dougie's carry on¨xD
TSA is going to tear his ass up lol
Did Helen call the cop as a favor to Annie?
Yeah cause she saw she loved Rhodes. It was the real 'the last one.'
I wish there is a Helen and Annie movie with Lilian. ❤
I LOVE this movie! 🥰 One of my favorites! 🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤
Oh gosh....mine too!! ❤️❤️❤️
This is our generations My Best Friends Wedding!
I love this movie!
Weddings bring out the worst in people....
***VIXEN *** now I know y some people cry at them 😂

I’ve had such great people in my life. I’ve been a part of 4 weddings and they are only good memories.
Helen with the mic in the back lmao, I never noticed that
Am I the only one who was waiting for Annie to push Helen into the pool
They should have ended the film at 2:27 with a freeze frame of Weig's happy/sad smile (Uncle Buck, Planes Trains Automobiles) style.

"Your ride's here"❤
Lillian looks like the gabbie show
stale chips she ain’t as psycho tho
Helen arranged for the cop to be there to pick up Annie

@Dave Gordon that's a really good reading of Helen, it makes me sad now

Does anyone know where I can find the final instrumental music when Annie is walking towards the guy and kissing him?
Just realized she was marrying Tim 😂
Yea holy shit dude what a cameo to find him as an extra in this movie.
I get married on October I feel I need to watch this x

Also the ending is so 16 Candles!

I'm eating hummus and drinking fuzzy bubbler.
I’m sorry… but I don’t think any bride would want her moment stolen by a group of pop singers after literally just getting married 😅
Not even her favourite pop singers?
Song?
“Hold On” by Wilson Philips
Wait is that Tim from tim and eric?
Upstaging the bride! Big no-no!
The captions are hilariously bad during the song!
