    This is a really phenomenal build! I really like the use of automation in your workshop. We have an Alterndorf F45 at work which is a similar type of machine. One feature on it which you might like to consider for yours is a hold down to move button which has to be kept pressed while the fence goes to position. Just reduces the chance of pinching or anything getting caught between the fence and blade or slide fence. Great build once again.

    • @bellevuesnekkeri
      @bellevuesnekkeri  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you very much for the generous feedback Sir. I find it to be a very interesting mix, and also I have been salvaging parts from my dayjob for years, and find great joy in reusing these parts. I have set the torque and the follow error on this axis to be just above the need for normal operation, so as soon as it senses to much resistance it trips. Like what you say, if a workpiece is left between the blade and the fence when setting a narrower width than the piece. ....ask me how I know:) It stopped fine and dis not bend the blade at all. Do you have a dayjob containg woodworking?.....if thats the case you are one lucky fella. I see from your latest video that you are doing some great fusion 360 modelling, is this a part of you dayjob as well? Thanks for watching and commenting👍😀

    This project was so absolutely fantastic that I can't understand it having only 90k views at this time.... this is a project worth some millions of views... I wish I could be smart enough to come up with this from my own head. When you say it would cost more or be more reasonable for people to just buy a commercial version, you're analyzing your market and maybe another country similar to yours. But living in the UK and having lived in many other places before, I can assure you the costs to build that in certain countries would compensate so much. Of course you might not be interested in creating the material with explanations, etc, as it can be a pain. But I can think of thousands of workshops in countries where the parts are cheap or reasonably priced, but the commercial version would cost the same as an apartment (like in Brazil). Don't underrate your work and ideas. You could be seating in a good passive income from plans. Well done and congratulations man. Amazing work.

      Thank you very much for the kind feedback Douglas. I have to admit that I also had high hopes for this one. CZcams is not exactly flooded with projects like this, but unfortunately the traction is very low. I see your point Sir, but if I was to make detailed plas of such a complex build, it would take an enormous amount of hrs to complete detailed drawings. And people nowadays demand sources for all the hardware. And that would make it hard to validate the function of it without having tested them. And my experience with some of my other simple tool plans is, that one gets overwhelmed with questions via PM and email on different issues. Hopefullly that explaines a little of my thought behind not making step by step plans. Truly amazing!!! I think that the automatic fence has some real capabilities if it could be adapated into a retrofit kit!
    Are there any visual /laser distance measurements? I assume all of your fence distance is calculated in steps via motor and homeswitch. From 3-d printing, I know that you can lose steps, especially if you're applying lateral force. I would also be interested in some sort of dust shroud to protect the fence belts.
    So interested in how everything wears and your future inprovements! Truly innovative.

    • @bellevuesnekkeri
      @bellevuesnekkeri  Před 4 lety +1

      Thank you very much.No there are no visual distance measurement other than the DRO on the screen. The motors are closed loop servos, and that means, unlike open loop steppers, that there is constant position feedback from the motor to the drive, through a resolver. This ensures exact positioning. Any deviation from this is corrected by the drive, and if it exceeds a certain limit, due to overload or crash, it automatically trips the drive. Hopefully It will gibe me some good years of service. @@bellevuesnekkeri No pictures . (that was before sharing on media was a thing ) But my pride and joy is my router table. About 4 yrs ago I improved the operation of the one I built over 20 yrs ago. It has a front operated height adjustment, auto locking spindle (when raised to max) incra style repeatable fence adjustment, vacuum port and front on-off switch. I can litterally change the bit, adjust the height, adjust the fence and start routing in about 1 minute. All mechanical, - total cost : under AU $50 (less than $40US), including a second hand Ryobi industrial router. I give it 4/10 on looks but 10/10 for functionality. Expect some photos soon - as soon as I figure out how to transfer and post them. Greetings from down under . (Most days wild kangaroos can be seen about 500 metres from my house)

      @@michaelcoceski5442 No worries man. Sounds like a great router table, and remember...looks are just a bonus, functionality is the prime goal. We seldom see any roos here.... but that might be because we are 14300 km apart?.

    Wooowwww very impressed, is amazing saw, just wonder in case a tool company made saw like this, how much do you think will run for money wise, and how much time and money did you put on it, is a dreams cabinet guys saw, thanks for share and inspiring us(me) you are a genius

      Thank you very much for the kind feedback, glad you liked it and found it inspiring. There are several companies making these kind of saws, and used Felder kappa 550 with motion controls are about 20-25.000 usd. But these are big panelsaws and can not be compared to this small homemade one. But it works great for me👍😀

    Really, really, really impressive engineering and prototype! Can you input cut lists into the DRO? I can see that being a real time-saver for production work. Only feature I didn’t see addressed was a foot or knee switch for emergency stop? If your hand is caught in the blade, you are not going to be able to reach the stop button on your DRO. I’d be curious to know what the rough cost of the entire build?

    you took the table saw into another level 👌👏👏 just if you have access to metal work to make the frame out of metal , and added a tool magazine for different blades ,, that table saw would be a NASA machine 👌 ... keep awesome ❤️

      Thank you. I often get a lot of funny looks from co workers when I am heads down in the dumpster or mentioning that the stuff they are about to throw out fits in my car. But the level of satisfaction when it get reused is priceless. I have been very fortunate to be able to get so many goodies, although my wife does not seem to share the excitement :)
