I don't agree friend. They succeed in the right proportion. For what massive success? To make silly songs like Coldplay have been doing on every album since X&Y? Keane sells out shows around the world and has a loyal fan base and that's what matters: That they remain sincere to themselves and their fans.

@@travelandlaughs9281 there were a few lyrics ("born to hate" and such) I couldn't/can't relate to at all, but overall they were one of my first deep loves in music and will forever be in my top10 (in the 6th position or something similar, since I've found some other bands I relate to even more, both lyrically and musically, in the last decade or so... they were in my top 3 back then).
But they're definitely perfect for those days you can't help but (actually wanna) be sad... They capture my tired mind perfectly sometimes, as other bands capture the will to shout and rock, others to imagine and sing to a love you'll never have (or something equally "lame" :p - tho, Keane do have some songs for this too), and so on.
If only everyone listened to such music, I'd have a bit more hope. But ppl wanna consume whatever is thrown at them, in most countries at least (I also mentioned it on another of the new songs/vids, that some countries seem to have much better taste than the rest countries' masses). Oh well. Musical taste ain't our biggest flaw...

I remember during lockdown last year I felt so lost and confused and empty. I put this ep on and when I heard November day for the first time I broke down crying. It was such a comfort, as though I’d heard this song so many times before even though that was the first time I gave it a listen. This song completely changed my mood, It was the first time I had felt like myself after so long. It is such a beautiful song. This song still brings tears to my eyes.
I don’t know if you read these or not but you always amaze me with your ability to pull me wholly into one of your songs. This one took me into a dream I’ve yet to have and made me cry. Thank you Tim for writing such beautiful lyrics and thank you all for making such beautiful music together.💜

Wow, Tim can write masterpieces always … in my opinion, one of the best works of his career and it’s just a demo
I really admire Tim’s talent for creating simple and blasting melodic motives on the piano and keyboards. The melody on the voice as well is just amazing (and Tom’s performance is just a poem) Like if the voice would be another instrument on a “classic” context. Sometimes it’s giving me the feeling of Bach’s masterpieces, with this contemporary use of melodies.
