Have you ever used Voice Commands on your PlayStation?
I knew it was a thing, never launched a game or app or had it take me to the game/app with voice operations (options button, information, voice operation words to say).

Fun fact: if you hold share button and the PlayStation button on the control the controller will blink and if u go to ur Bluetooth u can connect ur controller on the phone or computer hopes this helps 😃

Brooooooooo the last one was super helpful I bring my ps4 with me alot so when I accidentally press rest mode or have put in in rest mode this will be a tool I will use.

You need to know this. The EXT port next to thr headphone jack is for either charging your controller at a charging station or for either plug in paddles
My man all of these had to already be known, I knew all of these before I had a ps4
That last one is a hard reset and can result in hard drive failure if done enough.
For me on the PS5, it just shuts down the system. Nothing else.

He's confused with the longer hold of the power button. It's like 30 seconds. You use it if for instance on cold war firebase z freezes the PS4 completely you'd do that

And the game's name is also speakable (voice operation using a PS camera or headset with a mic) to either be taken to it or launch it. I don't use it but know it's a feature (not all but some. Press options on a game/app and check information and the update, size and more are listed. Look for Voice Operation. It is usually the name of the game or app but sometimes they are blank and have a - instead).
Also it's funny voice commands on PlayStation 4 or people never used it but still gets a pass as well as the PS4 camera but Xbox One Kinetic didn't get a pass for voice (it's minimal compared to the 2013 dashboard with an Xbox Controller or Kinetic, gestures tutorial is gone and options on the menu only in the compatible games are the last of it) lol for being creepy (I get the price of the console and DRM but still).
The light bar one is useful. I keep mine dim.
Don't know about the rest one I get what you mean though. I guess it kind of is. Then again on a PSP turning it off and on your still in the game. On Vita you have it in the background, in sleep mode and come back as in part of what a phone can do to access apps outside the game like the trophy app (not all games some are too intense or some won't let other apps open like with some Indie games). Xbox One you can to swap apps/games back and forth but of course not Quick Resume with games being relaunchable between them only the game and app in the background just a window/phone like in and out of apps approach.
It also can put it into safe mode to right? But otherwise in rest mode I just press the button and it boots up. Didn't think holding it would maybe make it boot faster out of rest mode or whatever the case.
I wish more settings to improve battery life on the dualshock 4 controller

How do you activate voice command
Voice operation is what it's called. Go to settings, then 'system', then 'voice operation'. You either need the PS Camera or a headset and your Controller ready. It will showcase how to set it up and what to say.
To go 'take a screenshot' after it's setup just say 'PlayStation' then say 'take a screenshot'. This also works for games and apps. Go to a game/app and press the options button. Go to 'Information' and it shows the version, size and more. Look at the 'voice operation' words. Some don't have any and are listed as - but some have just the title of the game/app. So for say 'Horizon Zero Dawn' I'd say PlayStation then the game name and it will take you to it if it's folders/games away along the menu. To start the game just say 'Start' and it launches the game/app.
I recommend checking the controller voice control too. Go to settings, 'devices' then controller and look for the 'volume control' setting.

Also some games use the speaker for audio logs like Killzone Shadowfall, not many do but it's a rarely used feature among first and third party games. Same with the Wiimote I remember Warioland Shake It/Dimension had characters speak from the speaker (not the voice commands part).
The Xbox One console/controller and Kinetic can also do it but everyone hated the Kinetic so it was minimised to be I think basics, no gestures or other voice command options (due to the dashboard removing them over time I think and not as much launching games and other commands like the PlayStation 4 does.
