Reid did not slack the last couple years. What a legend.
Derrick was very kind and respectful even in defeat. Props👍
around 51:00 Marshall was confused why he showed the whole deck, instead of just down to the second combo piece. It was because he cast creativity for 3, not 2, so his whole deck was revealed looking for any possible third hit.
Did he do that just to save time? Or is there another reason to do that if you know you only got 2 targets
@@GuyIncognito575 Ah I see, thanks for the explanation!
What a beautiful game Magic is
PRO TOUR BACK BABY WOOO
Second game was great
The second game was sick
I still dream about that white Knight line
The "discards sword to plowshares and lightning bolt" comment made me look haha.
Love watching but I want the background poster 😊
What happened going into match 4? I’m seeing a skip to the point where they both have 4 or 5 lands and I’m not seeing the beginning of the match. Was that an intentional edit?
What format are they playing?
pioneer
00:15-00:50 do somebody know the background song?
Couldn't Reid target Derrick's creatures with Creativity in the turn before he lost? How many creatures/artifacts where in Derrick's deck anyway?
okay, I just saw that many creatures were left xD
This is Splinter Twin... right?
Not quite, it's still a combo deck but Twin could win on turn 4 with 1 creature. This deck needs 5 mana and 2 creatures/treasure. Also this combo only deals 30 damage meaning if your opponent gains life they can still survive.
Why the new perspective? TOP//BOTTOM vs LEFT//RIGHT?
Great games! Although I kept thinking about how standard mono red would smash these decks
Derrick's side of the field was so hard to look at. Dude thinks he's at his LGS.
Mom???!!!
These decks are boring.
This format is so wide open why Play the generic decks that everyone knows about? These guys didn’t create these decks. They have been around for a while in the format. This format has the possibility to have so many different archetypes. And they play these……that’s a fail
The format is not so wide open that there's some undiscovered archetype that has good matches across the board of what you know people will be bringing... oh yeah and somehow no one else has thought of it before you. This is a bad take
This is a dumb take lol
The best decks rose to the top as expected… and there’s people that still trumpet “this format is so wide open” … why? Because it makes them feel/look smarter because they “know something that you do not”… contrarian opinion is just that… contrarian… not right/wrong.
Matthias, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Wat?
