However, he's in the TdF fighting off attacks from Pogacar, which could be too much at this point. If his base fitness isn't where it needs to be, he could blow up in the high mountains. I'll always appreciate the most efficient and effective methods of racing regardless of aesthetics, and Jonas proved this stage that being conservative is key for long stage races. C'mon guys, that is ridiculous! Someone who has almost died (poetic pretence) a few months ago, now beats every other contenders?! Not only Pogacar, who - as they say - fatigued by the Giro (also have some doubts whether an easy won Giro causes more fatigue or an extra hole in a lung and some hiatus in several bones), but all of them!Noooo Way! Thank you Vingo, you spared me some afternoons to do some useful things instead of watching this b*llsh*t! Pity as there are some great stories: Bardet, Cav, Bini, Abrahamsen,):(

    • @TellusJD
      @TellusJD Před 17 dny

      The only reason you say this is because you heavily invested in some other rider, I expect pogacar. Look Remco also took time on pogi from 50- 25 seconds, this was to be expected if vingegaard was in shape. Vingegaard takes time on the uphill pogi on the downhill.

    • @urpocok6954
      @urpocok6954 Před 17 dny +1

      @@TellusJD True, that I am more of a Pogi fan than Vingo, better suit that instinctive style than the "ride by the book". No, I am not saying what I am said because of that. I had no such comments during the last two editions, I can admit Vingegaard's talent, climbing and tactics skills, so, of his preparation would have been at least close to the planned one, then I would shut up and enjoy the race. But given the circumstances, his form is unbelievably unbelievable.

      Agree, TP realized that JV is still strong and he won't gain anything by pushing harder than needed. Stage 15 and 19 will determine this years TDF champion since JV, RE and PR needs to gain from TP on those climbs or else TP will just ease up as well on another hellish stage 20 climbing.
