Great reaction! No one has yet been able to determine why Su can sing so perfectly while dancing and jumping. All I can say is that she is a goddess.
"All I can say is that she is a goddess" - AB SO LUT LY you will rigth!
I read somewhere that she practices singing while on a treadmill. Not sure if thatâs true but it would make sense. đ
@@meganhausman1443 Sorry that was a remark made in a comment some time back that was just so appealing that it's been picked up and become part of the lore. Moa did say that her fitness routine was "performing with Babymetal", which totally makes sense.
@@meganhausman1443 that never came from Babymetal (no interview, etc.), what we do know: they practice by doing full Babymetal sets. And do extra cardio before going on tour. And Moametal has said she does stretching before a performance. Also they do full performances that same day for big shows that will be recorded.
@@meganhausman1443I read the same article. A number of good vocalists do that to make themselves tougher and Su is the toughest.

Welcome back to the Foxhole, I was hoping for you to follow our suggestion to go back and listen the old hits from early era to appreciate more the evolution of this group. Anyway this song is cool to hear them coming back to their kawaii metal roots and is the last song they released last year outside of latest album also released last year.
We got another banger for Japanese festival or any festival around, they performed this at the recent World Tour 2023 and getting the crowd going bonkers.
The live debut was at Apocrypha - Another One exclusive show prior to the track release last year, it was fun and totally unexpected, everyone was having a blast and even started with a Kami Band solo after a while without it.
There's a live proshot version at Summer Sonic Festival in Osaka released in the official summer sonic but it's heavily blocked, thankfully we got this live version now. You'll notice some slight difference between the live and the studio album wich also got an official MV. And yea, this was filmed in the same festival called NEX_FEST at Makuhari Messe, Chiba - Japan, a festival held by Bring Me The Horizon (you already know about them from the guide) during four days around Japan, they also played Kingslayer together and you can see the official MV at BMTH place which also got the same director and editing style.
The song title is Metali!! (metal + matsuri, which is a Japanese festival) and you can hear it in the spoken section when MomoMetal is doing the Kabuki moves style.
Just so you know "wasshoi" is another shout used in Japanese festivals when men are carrying the shrine, similar to sore and soya in Megitsune and Karate.
Tom Morello is a guitar legend behind some legendary bands such Rage Against The Machine, Audioslave and many more projects, you can also see him as one of the boss fight in Guitar Hero 3 videogame.
I can totally see why they pick Tom Morello on this, the groove, the catchiness, the super energetic jump and those typical 90's vibes at funk or alternative metal live concerts.
Next suggestion:
- Road Of Resistance live in Japan official MV (2015)
- Megitsune official MV.
Thanks for sharing this and see you next time.đŠđ€đź
Great reaction! Thank you! đ€đŠđ€

Welcome to the FoxholeđŠ
Man, are U really want to know about she's live voice skill? Digg it, investigate it, but - don't forget to brace your lower jaw, because you will find your jaw on the floor... Enjoy - it will be fun! The best regrds!
It's been said that Sumetal practices her singing on a treadmill.
Visual overload is one of their strengths to me - but also a weakness in the way they tend to be filmed - it'd be nice to have a static camera as standard too -but I guess that's maybe for the future. Good reaction to a great & fun song.
đAwesome performance. đŠ đâ€
Babymetal are the founders of kawaii metal. Very cute or the very lovely romantic ladies of light metal of pure lovely perfection of total successful greatnesss of true performance skils.đ đ Out of reach of very true heavy metal music lyrics of headbanging of performance skills! đ My great inspiring wisdom for today. Have a great fabulous wonderful day.đ
As best I understand it, ăĄăżăȘ (metali) is a mash-up of the words "metal" and ăŸă€ă "matsuri" (festival), meaning it's a "metal festival". They characterize this amazingly well with the energy of the song and the chanting of ăăŁăăăïŒ (wasshoi!), which is a Japanese cheer that brings people together for a common purpose to work in harmony together. Another interesting note is the dance you see MOMO perform near the end of the song; this is a throwback to a traditional Japanese theatrical performance style called ăă¶ă (kabuki) dating back to the Edo period, I believe. Also... since you're on this exploration of amazing music, you may want to check out Rage Against the Machine; Tom Morello is a legendary artist hailing from that band.
This was filmed the same day the Kingslayer video was filmed, at Nex_Fes in Tokyo Japan. The producer of the Kingslayer video also produced this video which is why there is similar editing going on. Youâve seen Babymetal at their most recent, you should take a look at something like Headbanger from the Legend 1997 concert or Road of Resistance Live in Japan to see some earlier stuff.
Road of Resistance at PIA 2023 is superior.
I prefer Su's live vocals. Being there, they sound great . the mv will have any mistakes sorted out, but I don't think it would need much work done .

Babymetal âăĄăżăâ Metali (feat) Tom Morello:-
Babymetal have joined forces with Tom Morello of "Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, Prophets of Rage, Lock Up, Street Sweeper Social Club, Axis of Justice, Class of '99, Shandi's Addiction" for a new single âMetaliâ.
The new song is the latest in the Japanese kawaii metal bandâs series of star-studded collaborations, and sees them partner with the Rage guitarist for another up-tempo, electrifying track.
The group first teased the release last week and, according to the press release, âMetaliâ is âofficially the first song by the newly rebornâ group - now consisting of SU-METAL, MOAMETAL, and MOMOMETAL. It also confirms that the single was created with the vision of their crowd forming a circle pit at a metal festival this summer.
Babymetal - METALI (feat. Tom Morello)â was released as a digital Single in 2023. The Japanese Title âăĄăżăâ has a distinctive style of kana usage. It is written as the nominal form of the made up verb âto do metalâ.
This song is characterized by the classic metal style of the Japanese band, combined with some j-rap touches that distinguish it from previous releases. And of course, the subject gets more frantic through the classic guitar style of Tom Morello, which fits quite well in the musical

Great reaction! This was a a solid live of this song, love it! A few points:
1). Definitely 1 performance: Nex Fes, same show as Kingslayer.
2). Compilation videos are usually done by unofficial channels to avoid CZcams copyright issues.
3). Metali = Matsuri (Festival) + Metal, itâs a made up word mash, thatâs why translation software gets confused.
4). Song Lyrics Paraphrase: Fun Metal festival song, Babymetal calls on all the boys and girls to form a circle, to dance and sing like crazy, because no body is going home today!
5). Chants: These are typical chants heard in Japanese Festivals. âWasshoi!â for example, is commonly shouted repeatedly by a group of people in synchrony while carrying/lifting parade floats.
6). Suâs vocals are definitely live, minus a few minor tracked portions. I can hear her pronounce words slightly differently vs Studio. Also, donât forget, Suâs been singing live for over 13 years while performing choreography. This ainât her first rodeo đ€Ł.
7). Tom Morello: Legendary lead guitarist for Rage Against the Machine. He was on the giant video screen, and comes in with the guitar solos after Momoâs âARE YOU READY?!â Tom turns his guitar into âturntablesâ, and that is his unique, signature style.
Hope that helps! đ€đŠ

BABYMETAL - PA PA YA!! (feat. F.HERO) (OFFICIAL)
Su is singing live, but all their official live footage is pitch-corrected and the sound is perfected. I think all official music releases are nowadays, even re-releases of famous singers from the 60/70s have been tweaked. I did however see Babymetal twice last year and I could not hear any difference in the quality of her singing. There are instances of very minor differences, it would be strange if there wasn't, but nothing you will notice while enjoying the show.
Why do you cut the videos? âčïž But more Babymetal!
"Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi!â Great reaction. The song title translates as 'Metali' (or 'Metari') which is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). The song is about a Metal Village holding a metal festival, so they have included all the matsuri shouts everybody would be calling out as encouragement to the people carrying heavy floats etc like "Sore, Sore", "Dokoisho" and "Wasshoi!".
They are inviting us all to dance - I am reliably informed there is something in the lyrics (Su sings it and it is in Momometal's kabuki section) about we are all idiots or fools - the idiots who watch and the idiots who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all idiots why just watch, we may as well all dance.
This was filmed at one of the NEX_FEST events around the start of November last year. The editing and camera work is all over the place, but it was a live performance with all the live audio (tweaked a bit in post production no doubt, but I doubt anybody who was there would notice any difference to what they heard on the day and what we hear now).
Tom Morello (guitarist from Rage Against The Machine) was the guy in the white t-shirt and hat on the big screen behind them and the Kami Band West were on guitars, bass and drums.

BABYMETAL - Monochrome - Piano Ver./THE FIRST TAKE
"Who is Tom Morello?" :O :O :O :O :O :O
Thanks again from Japan æéŁă đă The repetitive ăăŁăăă "Wasshoi" is a call or yell used in Japanese Matsuri ç„(festival) to stoke people's exhilaration and especially to encourage the power of guys who are carrying a heavy Mikoshi (ç„èŒż) on their shoulder that is a kind of a float in Western style festivals. The title is a synthesized word from two words : "Metal" and "Matsuri" â Metali. And if you want to know the deep meaning of the lyrics please check British-American Professor Hartley's channel (Andrew Hartley).
When it comes to BABYMETAL, everybody prefers live rendition to studio MV. This performance was filmed on Nov.3 last year in the festival curated by Bring Me The Horizon. (If this video included cool instrumental intros by Western (American) Kami Band, which are played at every venue, it would be prefect.) This song was one in the setlist performed all of the shows in the North American tour (29 gigs) with Dethklok and EU/UK tour (20 gigs) and other gigs. I appreciate the devoted support by Chris, CJ, Anthony and Clint (and Ryan in NA tour).
Momometal's extravagant elocution and moves in Kabuki style with her growl thereafter gave an amazing accent in the exciting repetitiveness.
She is extremly good at dancing and singing. But if you do not know who Tom Morello is? What are you dringend here? Does Rage against the Maschinen Ring a bell?
And Does ...ANGLERFISH DANCE (ANKOU ONDO)....not ring any or have you been under a ro---Sorry had head in clouds for years ?
And Audioslave
@@faceplantor5647 Why audioslave? If you watch her Choreo she doesn't sing like she is jumping. Yes the time distances are small but in fact that was one of her Talents that michiko observed herself. How she instintively changed her Personal choreo to Fakt fester movibg while her body was mostöy stable. In fact one of the main secrets behind some of their neuer Video is goPro.
This was one performance, it was filmed in Tokyo during NEX_Fest in Japan. Whatever company that was hired to film that day had a pretty extensive filming setup, and multiple handcams in both the crowd, and running around the stage. Tom Morello is the guy on the screen, he's a guitarist from Rage Against the Machine.
They mixed live footage from different shows, but the audio is live, there's a fancam of Metali from their show in Milan, that is actually very, very good and upclose.
I was at that show, but unfortunately not that close đ .
đ€đŠâĄïž
Where do you people come up with this stuff? This was filmed at the only day of NEX_Fest that had a film crew and a notification to allow filming of the crowd, which was the day in Tokyo, the same day Kingslayer was filmed.
Babymetal reactions and misinformed CZcams comments. Name a better duo.
@@Hymnodic You're right, I thought they mixed footage from the NEXFEST shows, indeed it's all from the Tokyo show at Makuhari Messe ... my bad.
