I love that you say the brand of materials you're using! As a newbie sculptor it's really helpful to not have to waste oh so precious break time sculpting with bad clay! Since I found you I've stopped using that way to expensive Crayola clay and went to the less expensive but better quality Sculpey and cos clay!
