Ahah, I can't argue with that, it's hard to wait for part 2... Strangely, I'm in the same position as you are, I went back to work so I don't have as much time as I would like to work on it :/ But part 2 will come soon (I hope 😅)

Is there a reason to cut the plywood into this strips instead of cutting the plank in half and gluing one on top of the other?

It was mainly for the looks 😅 but I think it also helps make it more stable and robust against torque and twisting
