Why you melt silver Without borax?
Ranjan Karmakar I didn’t
Theres just somthing about watching precious metals being melted that is so satisfying.
Definitely. Thanks for watching
Alluminiom
The sound of them being quenched is pretty awesome too..
"Chyaachyaachyoooo....ssss..." -ingot
I love how this video is 1 year old and you still reply to your fans, you don't see that often these days, great job
I try to reply to everyone who i comments. Thanks
That was fantastic, I love watching the metal solidify in the mold, plus all that background noise is so satisfying. Nicely done!
Yeh I actually enjoyed watching this one back myself mate so fun and relaxing
Nice one really clean, make it look easy! 👍🏻
Thank you mate
Top one for doing this for me! The silver was mine, its refined pure silver from computer components, next time i will get it made into some kind of weapon ideal for killing vampires :-)
Not a problem mate it was definitely fun.
Hahahahaha maybe a silver stake like blade has
That’s amazing. I don’t get diddly silver and I’ve done a stack of computers. Just small contacts. You rock!
Werewolves
Haha vampires, Danny Mitchell knows what’s coming
Nice!!! Haven't tried silver yet🤔
Though, copper looks even more crazy when molten, silver seems to have a very similiar shiny glowing mirror surface.
It was chaos to melt and i was worried about losing some.
Copper does look cool to melt
Works as well with humans
Like children
Nice one ... love the noise of the background as well ... so are you making that long suffering Mrs of yours something special
Thanks very much mate. Nope its all for a friend so unfortunately not anything for her
Looks like you are preparing movie props for the next bond movie 😂👍👍👍👍
Hahahahaha well i hope they get me to do that
Geralt of Rívia needs you

@@DiesInEveryFilm spot on. 🖒✡
@@DiesInEveryFilm haha good
I love watching precious metals being poured
I enjoyed this although scary with silver
I like seeing many talents of a metal worker. GREAT JOB From the U S
Nice thanks so much mate
Nice to see you again with your black gloves on
Hahahahaha I wanted to give a nice colour difference.
DiesInEveryFilm Customs black better on you
So satisfying when it hits the water.
Haha yeh it really is
Very satisfying to watch ..great video as always 👍👍
Thanks mate
Spot value as of today (3-20-23) according to apmex if this were .999 fine silver is $22.80 so a total value of $4,453.10 at least! Not bad, keep stacking!
Not mine but definitely a good haul for a friend
You need a twin burner to really get the crucible really Faarken glowing and the graphic mold needs to be glowing too - your pouring method is awesome - just need to give the silver a lot more heat to prevent layering - it’s an awesome size mold for copper, silver and lead. I melted down 30 Oz silver coins that fitted the mold like yours 9995 fine
Yeh i don’t cast enough to get anything different tbh but that one does get hot if im patient enough however i got excited and assumed it would melt colder than usual stuff, ill take not if i do try it again.
Thanks
About $3400.00 US in silver. Great to recover that I bet. :)
Yeh the guy has loads wish I could keep it
Rainy day fund
Wish it was mine mate
@@DiesInEveryFilm makes 2 of us.
What purity is the silver your initially putting into melt?
Those are the nicest bars I’ve seen poured on CZcams
Thanks I appreciate it, it was harder than I thought tho
nice job mate, hope he share with you for all that work ,love ya mate hygs till next one
Thanks mate. Nah I did it as a favour for him
Enjoyed your video and gave it a Thumbs Up
Good stuff mate thank you
@@DiesInEveryFilm You're welcome
Thats like 3,000 Dollars worth of Silver! Nice.
It was for a friend of mine
6kg of silver from recovered scrap that's incredible.
Took him lots of time mate
That was very satisfying to watch, thank you.
Yeh it strangely is isn’t it haha. Thanks
I’m in the process of hoarding silver :)
Good man its a good investment
Where can I find silver to recover?
Lol did you melt the first plastic water tub?
Yes mate I usually just put in to cool but I dropped it in and left it hahahahaha
DiesInEveryFilm Customs lol that’s first thing I thought when I saw it hit the bottom, like uh oh I’ve seen this happen before 😂. Live and learn. Great video.
Hahahahaha
Good vidéo .👌👍🛠
Thanks mate
Why you poured refined silver into that green liquid & what's that green chemical?
It removed the dirt
Pretty cool. Love seeing molten metal.
Something therapeutic about it
Nice video
Thanks dude
What was this recovered from? Somebody's vault?
Hahahahaha. Old computer parts from what he said. Not mine it was done for a friend
Very nice
I'm fond of preciousetals
Thanks. Cool aren’t they
How do you recover silver
Recovered using electrolysis i think but im no expert I didn’t recover this I melted it for a friend.
Where did u recover the silver from
A friend of mine got it
you are officialy rich!
Unfortunately not my silver
Not off $3600.00
I would like to know the story of how all this silver was recovered, where it came from, etc.
It’s recovered from computers and circuit boards, there’s videos of people doing it on here.
For a second I thought I was in one of Kiwami’s knife making videos. (nice reference lol) Then I saw Spoderman and all was guud.
I don’t think I know what you mean.
Ive not seen this name before
Sorry, I do that sometimes. Explanation:
There’s another channel where the artist awkwardly caresses a tool or material before use - in a way that is particularly hilarious. The way you did it in this video near the beginning reminded me of said artist: Kiwami Japan - where the guy makes a performance art of material science and knife making.
My wife and I refer to your channel as “Spiderman” because of the guy who keeps breaking into your shop.
Spoderman is a circa-2012 internet thing involving unofficial Spiderman comics that were (badly) drawn in microsoft paint. (hilarious as well)
Love your channel and your sense of humor. We laugh - and learn - a lot when we watch your work. I’m a craftsman too, and this kind of thing is all I really watch - on any screen.
Oh and the “world peace” labeled soap in another video you made - that reminded us of when Dawn helped clean up an animals from an oil spill. And “I make a new one” seemed like a My_Mechanics reference - but maybe we’re reading too much into what we’re seeing. 💨💩💀
Ahhh ive not seen his channel ill have to look for it. Thanks I appreciate people watching and enjoying.
World peace was just a bit of fun rather than blankly covering the product logo.
I added i make a new one as a joke cause im friends with the guy who runs my mechanics and thought it would be funny haha
It was! We chuckled and said “definitely a My_Mechanics reference” 🤣🤣🤣
Making mandalorian beskar steel please?
I don’t even know what that is.
Would love to know where I can find scrap silver like you use.
I didn’t find this just melted it but was from computer circuit boards
Oh, all the wonderful things you could shape from that! 😋
Yeh id love to keep it and make something from it
Where is this "recovered" from?
Thanks
Computer components, its in the description, not mine I just melted it for a friend
Wow great stuff. Where did you recover that much silver from? And what do you scoop off the top
Thanks mate. This isn’t my silver i melted it for a friend and on the top is the dirt from the recovery process
Thanks beautiful work
Liked for deadpool
Yesssss
Thats way cool sound
Thanks
What size kg furnace is it.
I honestly can’t remember sorry, its one of the bigger ones
@@DiesInEveryFilm ok its probably 10kg.
Sounds about right
@@DiesInEveryFilm cantake my mind up if I should get the 10kg or the 6kg.
that's a cool video thanks . Now without seeming totally stupid why do you do it ? I've got a huge bag of silver goblets to scrap would I be better to just sell them as is or is this the best way to max out on the price ?
thanks
Thanks mate. I did this for someone and i think because its recovered stuff it needs melting down but your goblets should be ok as is
Ciao quanto costa al chilogrammi questo metallo
Worth about $5500 now if your friend still has it
Value is going up and up aswell
Wake your ass up, cu it's time to go beast mode
Right
I finally bought some, a 10oz bar, in the mail - I hope it's not addictive.
This wasn’t mine but I wish it was
@@DiesInEveryFilm Oh. So it is addictive!
Oh yea it gets addictive 😂
What purity is it on average
Not sure i just cast it into blocks for a friend
Where do you find that much recoverable silver
Says in description
Sweet pour....
Cheers buddy
Wahats the worth of one of those bars
Don’t know, i did this for a friend
I love watching this stuff. so did you remelt every bar? does that up the percentage of silver? what happens to other metals if this were coins?
I have a few videos like this on here. I only remelted the 1st ones as they weren’t right weight wise.
Honestly no clue mate i did this for a friend its not my forte
Where did you get the silver scrap from
Says in the description mate.
Where do you recover silver o.O
My thoughts too
Description
Silver is recovered from components and electrics i think but this wasn’t mine a friend asked me to melt it so can’t be sure.
I see you poured your 1st silver then refilled the crucible to continue melting for your 2nd pour... Does this work on the smaller table top electric furnaces ? I can't find information on this method
I don’t see why not mate. Im not 100% tho so maybe worth looking in forums
Another sharpy edge
What are the scraps of silver from?
I did add a description but its recovered silver from computer components.
What's that furnace called and what temperature does it need to be please?
Its a devil forge one and im not sure of the exact silver melting temperature but google will help that.
Where do you get silver like that ?!
I melted it for a friend
Do u sell those bars
No I melted them for a friend, it says in description
What that gild contained?
Can you elaborate a bit please as this doesn’t make sense
OH.. now you can treat yer mates at the pub....maybe..
Hahahahaha i wish it was mine to keep
Spot on mate. It's sterling silver? or triple 9?
Thanks mate. I think its 999 but not sure
What kind of scrap can I find recoverable silver?
Im not 100% sure to be honest but I just know this was from computer boards or something
Hope you don’t mind me asking, but how hot does that molten silver (I think it is) get?
I got no clue mate I just melt it. Answer would probably be on google tho im sure
800 C roughly
where did u get the scrap from?
It was a friends silver he collects it recovering it from old computers and stuff like that
Where do you recover silver like this?!
From old computer parts
I want to make silver knuckles sometime
Ooooo that would be cool
Where did your mate get so much silver from?
Recovered from electronic components. I did explain in description
Be honest, you melted the first plastic tub didn't you?
The same i thought. Itvwas weird watching how easily he dropped hot silver in that small plastic container, then it became bigger, blue and metal had no contact with plastic. Something had happened.
Yeh it melted. Im glad that excites people so much hahahahaha
You can upload bloopers, it would gather a lot of views
I already have bloopers they don’t do very well but I didn’t get it on camera and it was just a tiny burn through anyway
Why don't you sell them
Read the description dude
I don't suppose you'd like to melt a 70's Rolex 14k chain for me into a bar? It's solid and weighs 70g
Happy to melt anything for anyone it’s my job
@@DiesInEveryFilm how would I talk to you directly?
I'm not on Instagram or Facebook. Email?
Email yeh mate. Caglar3485@outlook.com
I am new to all of this, but I’m not afraid to ask questions even if it seems obvious. But what exactly is recovered silver?
Recovered from computers
@@DiesInEveryFilm oh ok. Thanks man. Great video by the way. I’m late coming to this, aside from collecting coins I’ve not done anything until now. I’m wanting a smelter and get into stacking up some bars. If anything it would be something amazing to pass down to my grandchildren later in life
Where did you get that much silver
A friend recovers silver and asked me to melt some.
Bello alum
This is cool
Thanks buddy
Where can you sell the bars at? I have some silver shot and no bullion place will take it
This was for a friend, not sure where he sold it sorry
New to this; amazing video. What do you mean by “reclaimed silver?” Thanks!
Thanks, it is reclaimed from other things like its not new.
@@DiesInEveryFilm like, we’re you able to reclaim it from silver plated things? To get those shards?
@@milesaway3422 scrap from old computer parts. Can also recover gold this way. If interested check out Sreetips here on youtube he has some amazing videos on refining precious metals (mostly gold). He has a few on recovering it from computer scraps.
What was this recovered from?
Its explained in the description.
Recovered from what?
Recovered from electronic components i think.
If it's mixing with metal how it will segregated
I don’t understand what you mean
That real silver?
Yes, there would be no reason to lie
Shame it ant gold a. M
Well yeh but at least its not lead
@@DiesInEveryFilm why?
Cause led isn’t worth much
@@DiesInEveryFilm I melted led on my mum's cooker. When I was a boy. And played with mucury. Kept it in my pocket. Hmmmm. I think that explains a lot in my life.
I think that's why I'm just a bin lorry driver.
Nice shot! Had you ever seen bigstackD videos? He made nice videos about metal fusion. Ciao!
Thanks mate.
He was subscribed to me at one point and we’ve talked a few times
So is this a charity project? silver spoons for the less fortunate
Hahahahaha charity starts at home
OOOOOH SHINEY
Yeh really bright shine to it
