The oldest continuously inhabited city in the world, Kashi, also known as "the City of Light," is thought to be over 15,000 years old. This beautiful metropolis, which is home to 33 million gods and goddesses, was Adiyogi Shiva and his wife Parvati's favorite place to live shortly after their marriage. By consecrating 108 shrines with distinctive attributes in a particular design, the Adiyogi himself created a potent mandala (a sacred circular geometric pattern) of the city that is still in existence today. During a series of lectures and a tour of the old city with renowned lyricist and screenwriter Prasoon Joshi, Sadhguru expounds on the science and mathematics underlying the city's layout, the rich mythology of the region, and how Kashi has managed to maintain its grandeur despite invasions.

Just back from spending a week there. It is true that once you visit Kashi you will keep going back there. The first time I visited was in 2017. It feels like home. It calls at you. There is something about the energy there. The walks across the ghats, the morning prayers, the night arati at the Vishvanath temple, the people, the food, the narrow lanes, the burning ghats. You indeed feel like you’re connected to the larger cosmos.
Definitely. First time I visited the narrow alleys in the early morning, I immediately grasped the subtle aura of some astral beings there welcoming you and giving you that bliss.

I heard it is a must to visit raameshwaram after kashi. Would like to hear sadgurus perspective on this. Also the kaal bairav temple in varanasi is of extreme significance. Would love to hear from sadguru on that as well.
