If you watch his clips today hes exactly the same person as he was then at least outwardly; Candid, sweet, confident, humble, personable and witty. He is massively talented with an unbelievable once in a generation voice and so good looking. He has charisma and swagger. I think his parents did a good job starting him off right!

Adam should have won. I can't even remember the guy's name who did win. I can see him in my mind's eye but can never remember his name. I think Adam is what brought out the best and changed Idol.
His name is Kris Allen and I love him, too, but yeah, Adam should definitely have won.

His competitor I think his name was Chris I don't even know who he is haven't heard any music and he was so soft in his demeanor and appearance and his vocals were just average.... Adam gave the whole package but I really think maybe he would have one like the voice or AGT verse American idol I think American idols looking for more wholesome.... And I think he pushed the Box too much for that platform but he was spectacular hes definitely a Vegas show all in himself..... I've lost count how many times a gay man finished second on American Idol when they were clearly the best contestant, only to go on to be much, much successful than the winner. America is still very, very homophobic just under the just somewhat homophobic surface.

I think the best jab Adam made was when he said Johnathan looked like a dead politician. I hope Adam hasn't ever gone back on this show. He deserves so much better!!
I felt offended too, but I think he meant goth style and couldn’t think of the name of the style. Kinda like nightmare before Christmas or something. It seemed like he put his foot in his mouth.

The fact that he did NOT win American Idol was a complete travesty! The guy who did was meh, at best, and has since disappeared; at least, I haven't heard of him, but he may be in a genre I don't listen to. AI screwed that one up, and lost a lot of respect in the process. I would love to know the real cause of Adam's loss. He's been nothing but great since.

old enough to be your dad Adam, in fact have children around your age and younger . . . my oldest boy (who'd you'd think was a straight laced conservative) is gay . . . we had the same reaction after he'd thought he was 'hiding it' for years . . . we never pressed or made issue but also never directly asked, just always dropped the hints that we didn't care, as long as he was happy, safe and it was between consenting adults . . . i feel sad that you think america thinks gay = wrong . . .that's almost as bad as the few clowns that regurgitate that bullshit . . . even 'the church' has come off their dogma, although not removed it from existence they don't go full phelps about it anymore . . . none the less, god bless and i hope you don't have to endure those sad excuse for humans and understand not everyone thinks that way, even if we 'look like we do' :)
