Our fundamental goal with CYCLADES POSIDONIA ALERT campaign is to inform and sensitize boat/yacht owners, tourists, and the local population on the presence, importance, and vulnerability of the Posidonia meadows in the Cyclades and mitigate anchoring impact in the Cycladic islands.

This video has been created in the framework of the EU project POSBEMED2 "Governance and management of Posidonia beach - dune systems across the Mediterranean", of the Interreg MED Programme, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund. The aim of the project is to develop sustainable planning strategies that enhance the value of the Posidonia beach-dune environment, while testing mitigation options to decrease impacts and capitalizing experiences for coastal strategies with local and regional authorities across the Mediterranean.

To βίντεο έχει δημιουργηθεί στο πλαίσιο του ευρωπαϊκού έργου POSBEMED2 «Διακυβέρνηση και διαχείριση συστημάτων Ποσειδωνίας, ακτών και αμμοθινών στη Μεσόγειο», του Προγράμματος Interreg MED με τη συγχρηματοδότηση της Ευρωπαϊκού Ταμείου Περιφερειακής Ανάπτυξης. Σκοπός του έργου είναι η διαμόρφωση μεθόδων διαχείρισης της παράκτιας ζώνης Ποσειδωνίας, με στόχο την ενσωμάτωσή τους στη συνολική διαχειριστική στρατηγική των παράκτιων περιοχών.
