Hello! It’s been a long while since I last posted, but for good reason: Reprise EP has been one of the most detailed projects I’ve ever made. The original tracks shaped who I am as a composer today, and so I wanted to recreate them as carefully as possible whilst bringing a fresh palette of sounds and orchestration to the early, straightforward scores that 15-year-old Marcus wrote. We’ve recorded soloists from all over the country to take part in these reworks as well as collaborating with vocalists from Australia and the U.S., so I hope you’ll find joy in having these old tracks, quite literally, breathed life into.
I want to be clear about what’s happening with the old versions. I’m hoping these reworks are better than the originals but I’m concerned that due to the popularity of the old videos, the new tracks will always be overshadowed by them in terms of what people see when they search the title. Therefore in order to avoid confusion I have decided to make the old video for each track unlisted, with a link to it in the description of the new version. So it’s NOT GONE, you’ll still be able to listen to it! It’ll keep things more organised on my channel and allows these new versions to grow. I’ll also pin a comment on each video that has a link to the original… such as this one :)

I still remember listening to Evening Star in highschool. This release alone is so beautiful and outstanding it kept me on a see saw of nostalgia and wonder. This song literally took my breath away, thank you Marcus.

One of my favourite instrumentals ever, I've been listening to the original through my whole junior high school, then high school, now I'm studying at the university and I still have the song in my memory. Besides the nostalgia of hearing the old theme reimagined- my word, the hint of Celtic vibes in this just blew me away. I'm freaking listening to this when I visit Scotland. When it comes to music, man- you just sure know what you're doing.

I'm crying so hard. Never has an animated children's series, EVER, EVER struck into the hearts of thousands than this show, I swear. This changed my whole life with the act of accidntally pressing, "play" on Netflix. I love my mistakes. It caused me to FEEL friendship, which never happens in common.
Love this song. If I close my eyes I could really see pony tales and a lot of mustangs running up the mountain bravely and leaving in their gallops dust, running freely the green and beautiful prairies of Glasgow. Despite of I didn't know that part.
Right about the 1:00 mark, I'm totally imagining Rainbow Dash racing across a cliff's edge and launching herself into the air like the majestic being she is. :D

YES. OKAY. THIS IS IT OMG. I listened to this downright *religiously* when I was younger oh my goodness. I had it saved to a tiny sony mp3 player and I would listen to it on car trips all the time imagining the kingdom gearing up for a battle against chrysalis, etc. I had forgotten the original composer and when this dropped in my recommended I nearly yelled. I'm a (very) novice tin whistle player now, partly due to the influence of this song, and to hear it re-envisioned is so amazing. Alright, sorry for the outburst but in all honesty I do hope you read this because I love it so much. 😅😂 count me in as a happy new subscriber!!

I never watched MLP. It just wasn't my thing. But I know I don't have to be a fan of the show to appreciate your music. The minute I heard "A Tale of Sea Dragons", I became a loyal fan for life. i remember, you were one of the first musicians i found in the pony fandom way back in 2012. Ever since then i haven't left the fandom nor do i plan to any time soon, and only now just found this song a week after the end of the show. What a way to just bring back memories and celebrate a 9 year run of those colorful horse we all grew to know and love.

They make me cry, they make me laugh. There's just a distinct quality to your composition. They're freedom, spirited, yet they're not otherworldly, rather they are a reminder of all the beauties of this world.
