Time for MLB to invest in some academics in Nicaragua. So much potential. Although they had a great fighting spirit; it was very evident that we just don’t have the talent depth to compete with PR. Most of those guys that they fielded play for the Nicaraguan league. That level of play does not compare to the MLB…

An apparently little known fact: Puerto Rico is not a sovereign country, it is a territory of the USA, and has been since 1898. Everyone born there in the past 80 years is an American citizen. Even the commentators seemed ignorant of this.
I was thinking the same thing; so wondering why they have their own team in this?
@@kaydee787 because they aren’t a state either, they don’t vote in US elections and other than being a territory, they are still ran by their own government and have their own political party system. Alot of people - especially from Team USA (not all of them but the racist ones) like to bring up the whole territory statement especially when there is some type of competition brewing around.
Thus making Puerto Rico and Puerto Rican not Spanish and Hispanic and Latino until given back to Spain

en el estadio de los marlins la capacidad es para 36,742 personas. no e verificado todavía pero creo que estuvo lleno en este juego. y se va a llenar mas. estos clásicos mundiales son una bendición para lo vendedores en estos parques. ni los marlins llenan su propio estadio.

The first 5 innings were pretty tight. Both teams with smart pitching and good defensive plays. Pretty weak Nicaraguan bullpen, and PR definitely took advantage and did what they had to do. PR was so dominant regardless. Nicaragua fought really hard, and let's hope they can bounce back.
