  • Daniel Agger did not have much to say about in the penalty situation with Nicklas Bendtner.
    13th June 2015.
Thanks to Kanal5.dk for the video.
Daniel Agger has something Nicklas Bendtner want.
It was evident again Saturday night in the park, when Denmark got a penalty European Championship qualifying match against Serbia.
Bendtner was eager to kick, but was rejected by its captain, who usually takes charge of the situation.
    - Bendtner would like to take it, but I'll take it. It's me who decides, and so it is, says Daniel Agger to TV 2 SPORT about the episode.
Agger fired the big deal, but it means that Bendtner will get the chance next time, the captain does not relate to.
    - I do not know. I will not decide now. But it has nothing to do with it, says Denmark's captain.
    - We have a list, but it's me who always decides in the given situation, says Daniel Agger, who denies that Nicklas Bendtner attempted theft distracted him:
    - It does not bother me. It's just as well that there are more who would like to take. It did not bother me, it was just bad kicked. Secondly, there is in it.
Denmark is now at least secured a trip to the playoffs for Euro-tickets, but the captain is obviously not pleased:
    - We would like just a tad extra up. We have lots of matches yet, and those we look forward to - we would like to have some points into the account as soon as possible so we can ensure EM tickets as soon as possible, he said.
Daniel Agger may as appropriate send a kind thought for Kasper Schmeichel, who at the beginning of the second half, twice had to pull class saves out of gloves to keep the slender Danish goals.
    - That's what I'm there for. That's what we train for every single day, so being able to contribute to a win is always great, says the man who willingly admits that the scoring 2-0 had made the evening much quieter:
    - How is football. If it was so easy, the game would that be so exciting, but the penalty ... Well, I actually think it's a really good save by the keeper. He awaits! Agger always used to be totally certain penalties, so I think their keeper doing really well. It is actually finely done, so great credit to the keeper, says Kasper Schmeichel.
    - I think we work hard and are not very good start in the second half. But as they say in English: We tablecloth in! Yes, how should it be translated exactly? It must be something that we dug its heels in. We tablecloth our heels in, says the goalkeeper.
    - We defended ourselves well. It was hard, but the two boys in front of me was absolutely amazing.
    - How close are at the European Championship now?
    - I would not say we are close. We took a big step tonight, but there are still many matches again. Lots of hard work waiting, and we do not take anything for granted. I do not think we played particularly well today, but we win and it characterizes a good team.
