Great game for azzi in her first start. Something that is very underrated about her is the defense she plays. You can tell she loves the game and wants to do whatever it takes to win. Oh and she missed 2of 4 from three then boom 5 straight she’s a bucket.

However, they still had a bit of let-down in the 4th, allowing 20 points after restricting TN to 12/quarter in the first three. But, yes, the best all-around game they've played for quite a while. Geno's gonna have a helluva time picking which three -- or four -- guards to put on the floor when all are back. Aaliyah back to her freshman form. ONO being stellar on the D. Nika being her usual pest self on D. Good game, all.

This was a very physical and whistle heavy game. Westbrook was a spark in the second quarter Fudd closed the game when they needed to close. Way to go FUDDGEE!!

IN(2 line, 6th overall) lost to MIchigan, good loss , but they could drop. Iowa beating Michigan Sunday would be helpful coming into the 2nd reveal thursday night for UConn

Both teams were a bit tight on shooting. That is typical when top teams face off. UConn looked clearly better in the highlights than in the full game. They seemed more connected and purposeful, precise. Aim for that next step up! No player stood out as worse than the others and only AZ stood out as excellent on offense since this was her first start. She took it in stride and it was fun to watch. The entire team was whooping it up. Great stuff!!!

However, for all, and you know who you are, who were ready to quit (or had already quit) this team; those who wanted Coach Geno out; those who believed these kids were afraid to play, afraid of being yelled at by an old, out-of-touch coach; those who believed there was rampant unrest and disintegration within the team; and on, and on, and on. This game does not mean they are on their way to win it all, but this team just said to all the naysayers, "Shut Up!"
