- Join me for a festive visit to see the Duke Energy Holiday Trains at the Cincinnati Museum Center located within the historic art deco Union Terminal! The annual train display has been a Cincinnati staple for 77 years! Scale model trains from as early as 1910 zip through a gorgeous metropolis, and snow covered landscape festooned for the Christmas season!
According to the Museum Center site:
The Duke Energy Holiday Trains have been a Cincinnati holiday staple since 1946, delighting generations since they first debuted downtown in 1946. Track-level views reveal intricate details of the display, where over 300 rail cars and 60 locomotives steam past anxious passengers waiting to board while cars sit with snow to their hubcaps and the perfect trees strapped to their roofs.
Holiday Junction features bursts of winter whimsy that greet you as soon as you enter the door. The Northern Lights display serves as the perfect backdrop for family photos as wispy green lights dance behind you and snow-rimmed trees surround you. The history of the Duke Energy Holiday Trains is also told through an interactive storybook filled with photos of the iconic trains over the decades.” www.cincymuseu...

What a wonderful vlog!!! I enjoyed seeing all the trains! My brother and I had a lot of the toys and games that you showed. This also brought back memories of my brother and I playing with his train set. Dad took his old ping pong table and glued down green indoor-outdoor carpet to it and fixed the track on it. There were roads, trees, bushes, buildings, cars., and people. It was so cool! I agree with Sandra...I could watch the trains for hours. Very cool that you got to see the workshop! Thanks for taking us along Cashew!

I agree Cashew, !! something so beautiful and special about Union Terminal, from the architecture to the venues inside to the memories and history it holds! Hubby and I love trains, riding and watching them. I could stand and watch them for hours and watching the little kids watching them too, Do you remember going to CG&E to see the train display, standing in line out in the cold? I think it is so appropriate to have it at the Terminal now.Doubt we will ever be able to make it back down there, so thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your adventure with us.🤗 What a privelage to go behind the scenes! so cool to get a ride a long on the train itself too! This one is definitely a couple time watcher so I can pause and look at all the details.Such an exciting surprise!! Keep up the wonderful vlogs Cashew!!!

ALL ABOARD🚂 I used to love to play SIMON. Love any game that challenges my memory🤯That is an awesome building, and the displays are memory inducing WOW....how did you manage behind the scenes? Guess you caught the right train out I miss the caboose car. A lot of sleepy South GA towns have one set up in their towns for pageantry and such, and they really get decorated up for holidays🕯Thanks for starting the holidays off right with your viewers🐾🦊🐺 (🤗😘 from Hok'ee)

Very nice video! I have been going to see the CG&E Trains since the early 60’s when My parents took downtown to see them and to get cookies. It’s sad now the trains are at Union Terminal which I love, but they just don’t display them like they used to. It is cool to see the Carlisle and Finch train. Very cool to see the control panel and the repair shop! Thanks for sharing!
