I hope you enjoy this video. This is my ninety EIGHTH "WHATS IN THE BOX" kit review and I hope to be completing this model when i have the necessary skills to do it the justice it deserves in a bout 10 years time. I have a model collection/stash of 33-40 1/72 Spitfires which i am currently building badly for the amusement or to the annoyance of my fellow CZcamsrs, As my competence levels are not sufficient to complete this model it will be held in reserve for when i deem the time is right. If you would like to see the of 33 Spitfires there is a link to my collection below. As a novice modeller my intention is to learn the various assembly techniques and skills required, especially that of painting, so as i can produce half decent looking models, I concluded the best way to do this is to start with something simple, personally i think the best way to learn a new skill is repetition; try, try and try again. Hopefully by completing these 33 Spitfire models i will learn a few tricks of the trade. Whilst doing this I am also hoping to improve my VERY basic CZcams skills, so far just uploading these videos has resulted in tantrums of titanic proportions, yes unfortunately i am also techno-phobic.

Hi Andy. Another typical Miniart kit, only a couple of thousand parts ha ha😁. When you decide that you want to build this kit get yourself a minisaw or razorsaw to cut out the bits of sprue then clean up the part after you have freed it. Those multiple sprue gates are a pain in the arse. But take your time and hopefully you won,t break any bits. Your only young so you should finish it in your lifetime 😁. Good luck bud. Hi Brian yes lots of parts, and an incredibly detailed engine that will never be seen FML, i am pretty sure i will expand my cursing lexicon when i come to buid it LOL. actually got a razorsaw the other day, haven't used it yet,
I have a similar kit ,by bronco,which is a French self propelled gun on a 39 h tank chassis, which many were captured by the germans,and yes I would say miniart,icm,takom,meng,ryfield model,are all more for the experience model maker.
I dont thnk i have a takom, meng, or ryfield yet though agree that miniart and icm to perhaps a slightly lesser extent are pretty detailed and difficult, luckily i have plenty of other stuff to play around with first.
@TheNoviceModeller yes same as I have plenty,of tamiya to practise the art,but for example, I do have a meng which has 14 sprus,compared to tamiya 3,4 ,or 5,sprus, all down to detail.
Andy, great price for a pretty current kit. Lots of detail too. That ones going to be quite a build. I tried eBay for kit auctions too, no luck so far, so I'll keep adjusting my search input. See ya on the next one. CHEERS BOB
Hi Bob was not something that i had heard of or would of particularly of gone looking for but is an interesting vehicle and glad i have it for some future rainy day.
@@TheNoviceModeller I know what ya mean, Seems like I am doing the same however it does rain a lot in the Pacific Northwest :-) I am looking at the possibility of that Desert truck with crew, it has a lot of character to it. Could be my first cross over build.
The Steyr? took me a couple of months and several failed attempts to get it, so good luck with your quest.

Hello there @ragganyc and thanks for watching. Yes almost at the magic 1000, LOL was actually at 999 when i woke up this morning and has fallen back to 998 by the time i am writing this. Am actually quite surprised to have nearly reached this CZcams milestone; when i started doing this 4ish months ago i was building Spitfires in 15 to 20 mins, didn't actually think there would be much interest in a "muppet making models badly" but here we are. Will be making some efforts to improve the quality of the content over the next few months, introducing a few new features and revisiting a few old ones. I am very much enjoying this CZcams Roller coaster ride and with 3-400 kits to review and build it will be continuing for some time.

LOL shortly after writing this the subscriber figures went back up to 999 and have now dropped to 996, like i said roller coaster ride PMSL.

And now It looks like you did it.. finally 1000 subscribers.😺 I subscribe four months ago on your second video with all the unboxing with the models you ordered. I think I might’ve been your seventh subscriber not sure.But I know it’s before the 12th one. And has been watching your adventure of making and buying so many models, like the spitfires and the Japanese 1/72 and 1/35
Armor and men. i’m new to it too, and only have a few tanks made. And still hand painting them. But I think I’m getting better at it because a friend thought I used an airbrush or spray can😹 I use Vallejo and it works very well. The only problem it takes multiple coats. They have a black gray color that works well with a rubber on the wheels. One thing i dislike about armor is painting the wheels perfectly. Well anyway, thanks for the videos and looking forward to more of them.😺
Hello again @ragganyc, wow so you've been tolerating my model making madness pretty much from day 1, thanks. Yes 1004, now i can apply to for the CZcams partner program, i think there is a few hoops to jump through and a time delay but hopefully CZcams will chuck a few pennies in my direction, i doubt it will be much and it is not the reason i got involved, but hey if it pays for paints and brushes that's a big bonus. I hear you on the wheels and tyres, not my favourite either, cockpit covers are my current issue, am looking forward to having a go at a few of my armour kits in a few weeks, but not the figures, they kind of terrify me and are the main reason i started on the aircraft. If your friend thinks you are using an airbrush when you are hand painting then you are doing a good job i reckon, i kinda like hand painting, i find it more relaxing than the airbrush, just can't quite get the finish right. Will be introducing something/somehow in the next couple of months to allow viewers to show their builds, hope to see one of your tanks.
