Back again for my Country Sisters"fix" I love these girls and this is the best version ever of OBS. I view this video several times each week. Nobody plays it like Linda does. Even though it was not this particular line up, I was very honoured to meet the current Country Sisters last year in Jefferson, Texas. They have many things in their favor as well. I also had the opportunity to pick up some CD's of the group and some of the girls individually. I love all of their music. I'm hoping to see them again this year in Jefferson with the new fiddle player, Magdalena.
Also remember dancing to this at Long Branch in Raleigh, also in Los Angeles, New York, London, Sydney Australia. This song rocked the world! Bands would play it near closing time. But none of these bands had a fiddle player to match this one. Wow! Go Linda!

Harold Sandvik Zuzka's new band is Apple Spice... check out "The First Cut is the Deepest"....My Favorite version is by Sheryl Crow... but Zuzka is right there with her......the music and vocals are excellent..... I will be downloading Apple Spice's version to add to my collection... Also, youtube has several other videos by them..... as far as i'm concern this is the best group of singers and players , i'm not taking anything away from the most recent players, but this group was totally awesome, and i often wonder what their doing now with their talent
Understood, she formed the band many years ago and holds it together, does recruits, bookings and online orders, but she is not stupid, but like many people is getting up there in years, I don't know who would take over the band. the girls come and go. there is just Jarrett and the bass player. Who knows I love the music and the girls are nice to look at. some of the girls are working os advance college degrees or get married or go to other bands.
From watching the videos and meeting the girls in Texas last year I am thinking that their current keyboard artist Andrea is poised to carry on for Sonia when she retires. Andrea is already handling much of the on stage talking and directing the band during shows.
well here I am on the next night and they still beat all I can ever imagine and that girl still plays the orange blossom special as if she was doing it the womb before it ever was know , lol , you go girl ! Fear No man playing that tune like you do !!!!!!
