So totally agree! Babysitting the tape transfers is part of our job. Correcting tracking, cutting black and noise and adjusting audio levels are part of the things that caring professionals do. When getting your precious memories transferred, don't cheat yourself, go with the pros.
I thought you were going to show how the static was from actually recorded (baked in) from the camcorder tracking error playback which couldn't be fixed at all.

How do you solve this if your VCR does not have an adjust tracking feature?
It probably does, the channel up / down.
