I Hate Almond Joys well thank you! Just remember, they like well-draining soil, lots of light, and the #1 killer is watering too often! I have a video on how to know when to water but in general, you let the soil get bone dry before ever watering again. I wait even longer til my plant looks wrinkly or floppy. Good luck with your plant and I hope it leads you to get more! (It’s an addiction.) Thanks for watching!

I wish I saw this video before I bought a bunch of plants! As a newbie, I got really excited, so I bought a bunch of different succulents, repotted them, and watered them without really knowing what I was doing 🤦🏼♀️. I do live in Phoenix AZ, where it’s super dry, and all the pots have drainage holes, so I THINK they will be ok, but I’m going to keep a close eye on them. Thanks so much for being so informative, I will be binge watching your channel today lol
Tara Lipke yeah in a hot and not humid place like you have I bet they’ll be okay....here on the other hand we can get super high humidity. Glad you enjoyed the video!! ❤️
I just bought a handful of succulents and this was super helpful! I'm the type to baby plants, and I've struggled with succulents previously because I definitely have a tendency to overwater if I don't force myself not too

Thank you so much for this video! I have never really kept succulents because of having no clue how to properly care for them, but this year I bought a few and they are doing quite well. However, I don't know why they are doing well! I do plan on putting them in terra cotta pots. Now that you have answered some critical questions, I feel much happier knowing how to care for them. It's hard to just find a simple answer to the care of these plants and your video was nice, straight forward, and I no longer feel like I am crazy because I listen to my plants. I watch them and can tell if they are in need of something. That's a fantastic way to love your plants! I will be watching more of these videos and I am new subscriber. Thanks again!

thank you for being so detailed in informing all different scenarios; I have like 20 all diferrent and so glad I found you; we are in Miami, florida. I have some in our gorgeous pool terrace and I have some indoors in a huge window at my kitchen area that is open to the pool terrace area; we have over 400 orchids of all breeds; my hubby is in charge of those lol. this is so great video. I love succulents so much and I even have a bunch of it at home, what I love most is they're so cute and occupies a little space compare to other ornamental plants. Great to know things from you as well. We learn from each other.

I'm so grateful for this video! Finally caved and bought my first succulents today. They were pretty dry so of course I watered them right when I got home. Im planning on potting them in the morning and just came across your video while trying to learn more. So now all of my new babies were very gently taken out and put careful on a wire rack to help dry out the soil. Thank you so much for the great information

Thanks!! Yes watering is a major succulent issue. I have a video about watering also! But yes here in Arkansas we get super hot days so smaller plants or babies burn to a crisp if you’re not careful

If you’ve never been able to grow succulents in particular, I really recommend that you watch my video on watering. Most people kill them due to overwatering but if you watch the video you will find out how and when to water them without killing them. Thanks for watching!!

Great basic tips, which really help to be successful with succulents. Terracotta versus glazed pots. Terracotta is breathable, glazed are not. Drainage holes are so important! Thanks, for your great tips.

Im so glad i found this video i am subscribing! My roomate and i each bought a succulent a couple months apart from each other. We both overwatered of course and they died. So i bought us each a new one a month ago. I had heard once a month watering so i learned about watering today. They were SO DRY. I bottom watered. They are tiny plants in tiny plastic pots but i have the twrra cottas that the other ones came in. Neither have holes so ill try to hand drill holes in them. Now i have to figure out what each one is, summer or winter growing. So much to learn but once you know, you know i guess.

I've been too tough on roots, water right away, & put in direct sun. Too many wrongs.. I was giving up on succulents all together... Hopefully they'll/I'll do better now with your tips ☀️
Veronica Sanchez don’t give up! My basic rule is lots of sun, and if they look good, no need to do anything...but never give up!!!

Thank you for this information. I've been struggling with my succulents (A LOT). Just purchased several more today... repotted some of them and THEN saw you're video. I had to pause the video to take notes and clean up my work station because I now know that both my soil AND the soil of the new plant must be dry.
Cheryl Baker sounds good! The soil type is important too, it needs to be well draining and fast drying. I use a lot of perlite and chicken grit added to the regular succulent soil. And then I never water til the plant tells me. Good luck!!

I have JUST recently learned that I cannot use the succulent mix straight out of the bag. I've had to (and am in the process of) repotting nearly each and every one of my plants - including the succulents because the soil is not draining properly. Thanks again for the information.

I just moved last month and bought some new babies at Lowes and I am so scared to repot them. Terrified. Now I know what to do. You're wonderful. I just subscribed.
