I like the setup. I personally would have custom built it to fit perfectly and have a nice 4-6” mattress on it. There’s nothing wrong with yours though, just a quick and easy setup
Thanks buddy, I got to do a review I did add a 4” mattress and a peace of plywood same sizes of the camping bed so far is perfect I might put a 8” mattress at longest doesn’t go above the side front window it be ok.
@@hotshotbythemile2811 8” would be nice. Does it meet the dimensions to be dot approved? I’m just afraid of the dot fining me for not meeting the requirements even though I’ve never heard of it happening to anybody. The only way I can meet the requirements is by taking out the seat witch I don’t mind doing
Unfortunately is not DOT approved. DOT approved could reach between 2,500 to 10,000 dollars like Road Masters Sleepers they have some good setup but it’s pricey.
I don't know if you know it but what you're doing is illegal and if d o t catches you you're going to get a big fine it has to be a DOT approved sleeper
If you can't just plug it back in like he did there are airbag bypass sensors you can get to plug in that will fix the problem and make all the other airbags work properly. You can get real cheap ones on ebay but I didn't trust those and went with one through airbag systems based out of good ol Texas. Probably solved.
On my 2020 Ram the airbag is actually in the seat so there is nothing to plug the connector back into once the seat was removed and I talked with Ram and they said if the airbag light is on then all the airbags are disabled and will not work so after a lot of research I found the bypass sensor and now the light is off and everything should function properly. I figured I'd throw that info out there incase anyone else with a Ram has came across the same problem
It calls weather tech they sell different products for vehicles and trucks. They a little pricey but it’s worth it or you can buy a roll at Home Depot and take each of the windows measurements cut them off and that will work great as well.
Comfort and quality of sleep important on the road. Looks Good
Rest is key on the road. I highly appreciated thanks
@@hotshotbythemile2811 I HAVE A 2016 RAM 3500 WOULD THAT APPLY TO ME? I WOULD LOVE TO TAKE THE FRONT SEAT OUT. THANKS

@@hotshotbythemile2811 I honestly don’t know why I worry about it. They probably won’t even care
Legal sleeper berth is 75"x25"x4" thick mattress fmcsa but I think an officer might give you that if it has a matress
New follower boss man
Great job 👏🏻
Thanks
Awesome
Intelligente!
well done!
Thank you
I don’t think it would work on a ram because they are narrower than that
They are really narrow.
I want to do something like this but in a extended cab truck
You can do it. Get the measurements and see if you can find a folding camp cot. Or you might have to do it using wood.
New sub. Good stuff.
Thank You I highly appreciated 👍
@@hotshotbythemile2811 you're welcome. Can't wait to know what you do on the other side.
Drive a Chevy love it 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Good video, can you give us an update please
I will definitely will stay tuned 👍
I take it you have to idle all night to keep the air conditioner running
I don’t idle I have a Zero Breeze air conditioner works great 👍
@@hotshotbythemile2811 info about the ZeroBreeze?
Use totes n measurements b 4 u buy totes 4 storage
Dont see myself doing that to my new truck.
After taking out the passenger seat the airbag light came on. How do I fix that? Any ideas?thank you
There’s is a plug on the bottom floor of the passenger seat just need to plug it back the light should not be showing on your dashboard.
@@hotshotbythemile2811 just take it off the seat and plug it back in?
@@dumitruhaidau7807 I will make a review video and I will definitely should you how.

CAN YOU PROVIDE ME FROM THE FMCSA THAT SHOWS AND SAYS THAT YOU CANNOT HAVE A NON DOT APPROVED SLEEPER ON YOUR TRUCK?
At longest I take my 10HRS off duty I’m good to go, but you cannot do sleeper berth on a non approved sleeper.
Just log “off duty,” that is all. For anyone else talking about it not being a DOT approved sleeper berth. You can take your off duty hours anywhere.
Quick way to get a violation.
great except the d.o.t doesnt classify this as a sleeper
Yeah I know is not a DOT approved, being on road you definitely need a place to sleep on your truck.
@@hotshotbythemile2811 thats why i took mine to cowtown sleepers in North Carolina
Cool beans buddy
If you go off duty and not sleeper berth it doesn’t matter. You are allowed to take your 10 hour break anywhere
Nice, what about the air bag light in your dashboard? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Doesn’t show anymore I plug it back in without the seat

Everything works perfectly I plug it back with out the seat and it’s good now

Curtains a mattress and your all set
Definitely right I added a piece of board 72”x 25” and also a 4” inch thick mattress same dimensions.
What you do about you SRS light?
I will have a review video coming up soon
What are you covering windows with?

Do you pass the inspection with that bed
Definitely right I pass my inspection but this bed is not DOT APPROVED MUST TAKE 10HRS OFF DUTY NOT SLEEPER BERTH
Magellan is pronounced mah-jail-in
