Did you guys ever select a winner for the books like you stated at the 18:05 minute mark?
I went from $2,500 up to 15k a month in a span of 3 months listening to this mans advice, also purchased his course.

Chris, It was nice meeting you at Cleaning and Cocktails conference. You are very humble and appreciate all the nuggets you shared in this and previous videos.
I love this interview . So glad I found this channel. I love his genuine spirit and willingness to share the resources, systems, platforms, everything.
Welcome 🙌
The info in this interview is gold! not just for a cleaning business, but business in general.
Thanks for supporting! Glad you found the value in it. What would you like us to cover next?
That guy is not a business person! He is a hero !!
To take care of so many staff and clientele with a superb organisation and politeness!
I don’t have words to praise his talent!
Absolutely fantastic!
Congrats!
I appreciate your comment 🥰
There is so much optimism and positive energy in this channel , better than motivational gurus ❤!
Wow, thank you for the awesome feedback, Rudra!
Thank you for answering my question about how to find employees. I see I am on the right track, I have to keep hiring to get the ones who want to clean. Thanks again
Love this channel.
What is the tip to finding employees i want to subcontract
This was a fantastic interview! Cristobal was super helpful!
Excellent work! It's important to keep in mind when starting a cleaning business, you will likely need to build a team to clean different establishments. That is why it's crucial to include background checks as part of your screening process on potential team members.
Building trust with clients is vital to establish long-lasting relationships, and background checks can help ensure that your business is perceived as trustworthy by your clients. It is important to put in the effort to establish trust with clients before they allow unsupervised access to their office or home.
Absolutely!
@@CristobalMondragon Nice to know this resonated well with you! 🤗
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL !!!
Great information! The only piece that was missing for me was calculation of his spreadsheet like showing the viewers how he for example mention the labor chunk of the profit comes out and i would love a breakdown of a example of how making sure your profit margins is correct knowing the numbers to charge like the industry or market is paying so you're not getting fined because your under paying your workers because your contract is with a commercial business and you got to know how much is the rates of the rooms so you know what your to charge properly.... go into more details here that was the only thing that was not discussed into more detail like an example would been helpful because he mentioned he got fined because of the numbers being off he had to pay $1000.00. Now i did hear Mr. Cristobal Mondragon say he hired a CPA but there is software called quick books does he know about this software to being great at managing the books and numbers and taxes? And how much taxes do one pay or have to put aside for a business like this a cleaning service?
I think he’ll explain that once you buy the curse ! Kkk
Fantastic interview and the course looks like it will be even better!❤
That's for sure! He's a smart man, and there's so much to learn from him!
I’m running a $1M plus cleaning business, we have brand new fleet of vehicles, commercial insurance, and actual offices. Plus, we pay fixed salaries to our cleaners of around $750/week. That being said, I highly doubt his profit margins are only 15%, someone is claiming lots of tax cuts here….
How long did it take you to get to $1m and how many reoccurring clients do you have? What % do you net?
@@seattlerain101 it took us almost 2 years to get to $1M in sales. We don’t have many recurring clients (73 to be exact) as we are focused on post construction cleanings. Lots of marketing spending, SEO, Ad words, social media, etc.
@@seattlerain101you can actually double and triple revenue, profit an cash flow if the business by doing rollup. It means acquiring same kind of business like buying more of same cleaning business. Makes sense?
Did you think his profit is more than 15%?
Pay people better and don’t wear them down. Higher pay, shorter hours $30/hour+ take home plus an hour for travel. If they can make what they need in 4-5 hours a day. Say $150 take home. That’s a lot better for retention. Then don’t try to be a multimillionaire off one business. That’s when you’re taking too much from the bottom and abusing people. Put your money into other passive or near passive sources to grow it more. Pay your people well. Don’t take it all at the top. Big key to retention.
He does pay his people well. Even higher than average. ☺️
Look Mr. Socialist, his profit is only 15 to 20%. So when he says he grosses $1 million it means he only takes home $150k to $200k per year.
It's a good idea to give them more money for less hours. That way they're not worn out. Or offer them a shorter work week. You'll need more people but I think retention is higher. Most people don't want to clean foever, so I think turnover is gonna be natural. Have a good process for hiring and like he said in the last video, have a great company culture to insentivise retention.
Cris is an Entrepreneur in every sense of the word!

I was wondering if she just didn't like being on camera. Because the business was her idea. I wish they would have expanded on what he told is more and why. As a couple doing business together I think we'd like to understand that dynamic.
I love the ever-inspiring UpFlip. And I loved this video with Chris and Queen Bee! Tell me please, Can UpFlip show us businesses that kids can start???? We really appreciate your kind words Suzay and we love the idea of making a video focused on kid friendly businesses. 😀💖We have lots of young viewers and we definitely want them to be aware of how many options they have in the business world while they're chasing their dreams. Do you feel we should find a young entrepreneur to interview or do a video with 5 businesses a child can start?

What city or state do you live in?
Everyone is jumping into housekeeping businesses. There won't be enough employees if you all run a business as cleaners. Honestly, not all of you will make it, you have to really like to clean vs getting into it to only just sit behind a desk doing all the paperwork, while others do the labor. This career is a labor of love, community & CONSTANT interaction with those whom you serve. The question is, are you likeable, are you honest, are you really there to help make a difference in others lives, or just take the money & run. Your clients will notice!!! Mine can tell the difference between me & the last company who cleaned, a massive gap. My clients are like long lost families to me, they resonate on the same level as me, they care if Im doing well, as I care for them. My clients are truly the BEST. I'm all day, every day, multi-tasking with them, their lifestyle schedules, conversing with them till the cows come home really. Sometimes I feel like Elvis, & sometimes Santa Claus. Lol. I joke with their kids, their pets come up to me like were old friends, & I've even had lunch &/or dinner with some of my clients. They can't get enough of what I do for them. It's VERY fulfilling & humbling. Massive amounts of GRATEFULNESS. So if you're in it for the wrong reasons, like making a fuckload of money. You won't be successful. You will have losses. You are not in the right mindset to do what is required. Therefore, causing chaos out of the need to survive versus working together. I have 14 clients, and growing (weekly/biwkly). And when I add a couple of employees they will be expected to be at the same level, working as a team who cares as much as I do. It's all about karma. Law of attraction. Divine Time. Not greed & survival mode.
(No, I don't respond to negative replies. Which means, you don't resonate with this. If you have done the internal work, within yourself, then your outside world will 'project' it. That's the only advice I'll give you.)
There's some truth to what you say 🙌
Very well said, B Barron! We're so happy to know that your business is your second home. Not everyone can say that for themselves. Cheers to your success! 🔥
@@UpFlipthank you! I got to full capacity by word of mouth this February and currently now have 4 new employees who want to work, took time for the workforce to come back. Cristobal if you are watching this... how do you guys track google ads conversions from Jobber when clients fill out a submission form? I have 2 clients that switched to jobber and I can't figure out how to track conversions... I even called Jobber and they said they didn't have anything to track conversions at the time for google ads... thanks! Great video!
You can use a free software like Trello to keep track of your leads so you can see how many actually converted from each different source
I have a question how do you take payments from the customer. And what is the best idea to take payments from the client?
I use stripe to collect the credit card payments
I use Paypal business for customers who want to pay with credit/debit cards. Because it has an invoicing system, some people prefer this for tax write offs etc. The way the system is set up is very quick and easy to use, for both me as the business owner, and the client. They do charge a percentage of every transaction though which I'm not a fan of, but every system that accepts card payments does, that I know of.
As far as billing, for residential customers, I require payment the same day of services. They can pay me in cash, check or via paypal. If the customer isn't home at the time of services (they normally aren't), I will tell them how much it will cost and they leave the money. If they are paying with a card, I will email them an invoice before leaving the residence and they always pay within a few hours.
Cool video

Background checks before sending them to peoples homes
@@CristobalMondragon Hi Cristobal, i'm in HR/Recruitment so employee retention and acquisition will probably come easy to me. I know exactly where to look here in Toronto but the 'customer acquisition' is what's making me hesitate. Is it all marketing? how do I go about acquiring customers.
@@ibizawavey8630 literally the easiest part. employee retentions is much harder
This is a good question and something that I worry about with my own cleaning business. Background checks, comb through their social media accounts if you can to get a decent feel for what kind of person they are, references and also making sure your business is insured and bonded. @@Edvardco have you ever hired house cleaners? It's multiple people, and certainly they aren't unsupervised (especially in a training role). You'll find no harder worker than someone who had to waste years of their life in a cage with next to zero enrichment that they'll never get back. By all means use discretion, if someone's a kleptomaniac that's not a good fit obviously; but consider the circumstances and hire accordingly. Hi I wanted to ask does the course work internationally? Messaging from the UK?
Dude... think about it. Are there house cleaning businesses in your city? Of course there are. Jesus. Use your brain.
For a carpet cleaning business, quoting over the phone does not work.
In person quotes are the best way.
You're right, but there are ways now where you can quote over the phone. The customers can fill out a form and describe or send pics of the areas that need to be serviced.
We offer carpet cleaning and we sell it over the phone, is more efficient because we don't waste time and gas driving around to provide quotes 😊
