- After a car crash with a drunk driver left her physically and emotionally changed forever, Patricia Henman refused to live her life as a victim. Despite a gruelling and ongoing recovery, she returned to the stage, volunteers countless hours to the arts community and has become a powerful advocate against drunk driving.
Patricia is the 25th Anniversary Courage To Come Back Award Recipient, Physical Rehabilitation Category.
Thank you for sharing this with us Pat. You are so strong; a real inspiration.
I remember skiing with Maia when I was a kid. And a couple years ago, reconnecting with her and realizing she’s the funniest person I ever met and feeling so safe and comfortable with her. As a goofy autistic girl, it’s hard to find people like that. I wish so much we could have spent more time together. I’m grateful to still be friends with her little brother. This whole family is really great❤
I feel honoured and grateful to have seen this. We never know how far and wide our experiences will impact others. There isnt really a way for me to fully articulate how I felt hearing you share your story. I think its an experience that is on some other level of existence. I think of the loss you have had to endure. and how do you do it? Im not sure I would have had that will. im glad you did though. maybe if i see enough people speaking out, it will get a little easier
i assume her diatribe infers pregnant women can't drive?
Where did you get that from?
