For the third limitation alternatively, you could use the same cms collection, but create a separate page with the full list, and for the free version create "free" field and filter to show only free items

Memberships (as of today in June 2023) is so limited as to be practically useless in a real world project. But I'm hoping features will come quickly.

Thanks for the video, There's something i wanted to ask about.
I sell certain professional services for a monthly subscription fee. Is it possible to just let the user buy a subscription and manage the on/off and cancel that in their account? I don't intend to gate any particular page and such. Caus all the services would be outside the membership page.
For ex, here's the workflow i intend:
1. Customer select a plan
2. Buy the plan
3. That's it, They have a login page just to manage their membership

Hey Pavle, the image attribute is still not something that you can link to a profile just through memberships, let's hope its coming soon :)

what about profile pages that only appear when you sign in. Ive seen no videos about account profiles.
Can anyone suggest a budget membership builder platform that hides parts of a web page (like a paywall) but not the entire page? I’ve come across some expensive ones. Shame Webflow can’t do that

Hey Nikolai, thanks for this video! Is it possible to use memberships for e-commerce customer login and dashboard (showing purchase history, personal info, etc.) functionality? I didn't see such a use case or any mention of it.
Hey Ozge, not currently. What they do have is the information for subscription purchases so you can cancel your subscription (think like for a sass product or library product), but nothing to track more physical ecommerce purchases :)

I creating fitness courses website. Im not selling subscriptions, just a pdf and video library that people will have access for a certain period of time (or maybe lifetime access). This means once you buy ideally you will always have access.
The issue with this is that total members number might increase dramatically as time passes. This is why Memberstack for example wont work for me. As they have a user cap of 1000 and 10000 on their respective plans.
You think webflow will have one of this caps aswell for total members? You think there are any other ways to create gated content for members that pay a one time fee and not subscriptions?
Webflow will keep raising their user limits as Memberships gets more stable, and I know they already have done so once already :) Webflow don't want number of users to be an issue so I don't see it being an issue in the future. And yes through Memberships, users can pay a one off fee instead of a subscription

I am trying to create a site where you pay for login and get content but I'm stuck. Idk how to get them to sign up>pay for subscription>login>access paid page. Am I missing something? Please help.
Hi Nikolai, is it possible to build a business directory giving paying subscribers access to their own page in the editor, and depending on the level of access, open up more areas of their listing, e.g. blog, social media, opening hours etc.
Hey Michael, not currently without a lot of extensions! The best you can do is have forms where users can update their info and then set up Zaps through Zapier to update the info. I would recommend looking at Connor Finlayson's channel for this kind of stuff :)

Im trying to sell products on my site. Some are for live events, and some are for digital video courses. For the courses, I want users to be able to make a purchase, and then access these courses within their account.
Is this possible? It seems like it should be but I’m struggling to figure out how to do it. Any help would be appreciated!
This seems like a fine use case to me! Remember that you'll have to have a different CMS collection for every course as you can only lock off a whole CMS collection. This is a use case for a single video course: www.nikolaibain.com/template/coursely-memberships
Then you'll just need to add extra CMS collections for extra courses, let me know if that makes sense!
@@NikolaiBain I think I’m following…but from my understanding, a member portal is not yet part of webflow memberships?
I.e. as a user, I purchase a course on the website, which first requires account creation. Once I purchase the course, I want to navigate to my user profile to access my purchases.
@@JakePomperDesign You have to have an account to buy the course, and then when you purchase the course, you can send people to the course homepage on the checkout page
