Anyways, Fiat has got a winner here. All they need to do is price it right, and spruce up their service centers. The product, like other Fiats, are excellent!
only drawback in fiat is issues related to service... they don't have enough service stations in Punjab, otherwise quality is far better than other companies..

Jeep is not offering features that are available in Australian spec model and other right hand driving countries such as blind spot monitoring system, big infotainment display with inbuilt navigation, sunroof, 9 speaker beats audio system, diesel automatic transmission (not the trail hawk) and many more. Is jeep planning to launch new updated compass with these features in any time soon?
If its priced around 15-20 exshowroom /1.8lakhs rto for 15l vehicle/12% +50k insurance/totalling 17-20lakhs onroad ! I would spot on buy it over the creta /innova /skoda octavia /corolla(d segment) /fortuner infact /vw tiguan which recently test drove /for its sheer brand excluisivity and brand image in india!

The only good thing about this is the hand brake, which only disengages once you wear the seatbelt.

although the compass seems to be a good balance of luxury and a tough build, a few essential features such as the mentioned absence of a sunroof which is popular in the Indian market will definitely affect its sales. however this car has just been launched so we can look forward to a few more variants. a good price point makes it a tough competitor to defeat and since Indians nowadays look forward to tough SUVs , this one is surely not gonna disappoint. the foreign variants like the ones in the states have much more potential because they are not deficit of the features missing in the variant described in the video. we have definitely been looking forward to this car and would be happy to see a comparison between the compass and it's competitors.

can see a really promising package in form of the Compass...... I believe fiat should seriously expand it network to completely satisfy the potential customer for this car.... out of all the features missing I only wish it had a low ratio 4x4 system

it's costs about 20lakh in UK, on road. It should've been the same in India, if not cheaper since the production is right here, as it was predicted earlier. I don't get why it's so priced so high..

Such a disappointment. Jeep Compass for Indian market is missing so many features and safety while in the international market it comes loaded with all the features and safety for the same price.
Things that are missing so far:
Auto headlamps
Auto wipers
Auto dimming mirror
Automatic Diesel transmission
Panoramic sunroof
Park Assist
8.4" UConnect
7" color drivers information display
Cruise Control
Blind spot monitoring
Lane Sense
Forward Collision warning
7 Airbags
Heated seats
Heated steering
It costs 22.5 Lacs with all the premium features in the US market. Why should I pay around 24 Lacs and get so little? Jeep just ruined my plans.
Exactly ! anyone who has seen the US based models would be skeptical in buying it now .
Hey buddy! No, it does not come power packed with all the options you listed above here in the US. It's all basically a marketing gimmick here. You want a sunroof then you have to go for x package. You want auto dimming lights or auto wipers then you gotta go for y package. The basic Jeep Compass package doesn't include half of the things listed above. Also, you forget that the safety regulations in India are way more lenient than in India so the companies take that to their advantage (unfortunately). The lane sensing and blind spot monitoring system coupled with other features, you will have to pay more for that here as well.

Jawed Huda These foreign car manufacturers treat us Indians like crap and withhold features while at the same time jacking up the price. Why should we pay more than other countries and get lesser features than them? FIAT may have hit home the final nail in the coffin.
Car seems great, nice review by Shahpur but it would be better if the music volume is put to a low profile.

Compass is a 5 seater and Endeavor is 7 seater, the Compass I believe can only have a fight with Hyundai's Tucson BTW not the Santa-Fe because that is a small 7 seater

I think Jeep now has a good real opening with this but they need to iterate real quick to stand the waves of competition. Owning a real Jeep would be a real dream for many (Ahem Mahindra fans - step aside) and I think this can just do that. Just improve on the bells and whistles inside and they have a killer!

No runroof is a big trick missed! They should have included atleast in top end model. Also anyone can confirm ground clearance? it doesn't look much looking at the exterior if it's low, that will be a big dampener.

Hi, I also like Compass very much, but tell Jeep to Add few but Important features like Sunroof, Sat Nav, LED DRL and auto rear view mirror, and I'm sure that Compass going to be very successful car.
I have one question. Which colour should be best and suitable for jeep compass.and give me your suggestion.
The car has got Great looks... but the seats should be more comfortable(cushioning) and the rear seats are a bit too upright with no option of reclining the seat (hence , are a bit uncomfortable for long rides or journeys , especially for senior citizens) and they should also provide 8.4 inch infotainment system with rear camera(helps when you intend to reverse the car , especially for not so tall people) starting from the longitude variant....and they should equip the car with alpine speakers(like in U. S) instead of Harman kardon...

This car is really awesome
Creta has better accleration and top speed, 0 to 100 in 10.3 secs, and 190kmph top speed, also better ground clearance at 190mm.Also costs much less on road, top end models 9 lakhs plus more for compass.

Tin can Fanboys from Maruti or Hyundai can never understand how safe it feels to be inside Fiat.
#JeepIndia with 4x4 (AWD we intend to drive on the beautiful North and North East India.
Along with 4x4, a Panaromic Sunroof is must to enjoy this terrain.
Diesel Auto will be bonus but okay with Manual. Please come up with SunRoof as an option.. else Tiguan it is.
The pricing is just about right.

My God, if they're planning to launch it above 20L then why the heck did they even take out features like Automatic headlamps and Wipers which are available in cars costing less than that. Plus, as always, no sunroof for India. Hyundai, Ford and Toyota will eat it up for breakfast.

hexa is miles ahead interms of comfort,interior look fit and finish amd ooh the ride quality!Was inclined to buy one however þhe things you stated like reliability ,aftersales support,resale value etc made me wait a few.months see how the vehicle performs in the market and wait for some long term ownership reviews :/

sounak bar ,its bcoz the tata brand image...imagine the sales figures if it was a hyundai.I have driven that car,lots of features,lots of space,comfier than innova...bigger than innova.....but nobody wants to pay the premium amount for a tata....they could have launch the vehicle under a different brand name and logo....like toyota and lexus, hyundai and Genesis, Honda accura....
