I watched a video earlier today on here called colonial gunsmith showing how these muzzle loading rifles were made. By hand every piece is hand forged. It takes 300 hours for one gun. Its an amazing art form
What absolutely wonderful craftsmanship. These rifles must be as good or better made than many original antique guns. Fantastic to own, display or shoot, a real work of art guys. From UK.
Beautiful rifles. Just gorgeous. I love the early Virginia and Lancaster style guns with wooden patch boxes and the flatter wider shoulder butt. Someday I would love to be able to afford a real handcrafted rifle like these. But Im sure these are way above my price range. I would guess these beautys would sell for anywhere between $3000-$4000, maybe more. All the components I would want on my dream rifle to, curly maple stock, Siler Locks, Colerain swamped barrels. But just a dream for me, for now. Until then Il have to keep shooting my Pedersoli Frontier.
One true fact about four things. 1 you must be a good fabricator 2 you must be a solid woodworker 3you need to know black smithing 4 k owing gunsmithing is vital too to build a great firearm no matter what that arm may be. This type is an art love it
That gun had good ignition, no lag time. Impressive craftsmanship. Recently learned I had a direct ancestor from N. Carolina who served throughout the Revolutionary War, first as a continental regular, then in the N. Carolina militia, finally finishing the war in the S. Carolina State troops under Pickens. I'd love to see what you guys could come up with in the form of a gun he might have carried. You'll be hearing from me.
Sorry to all that have emailed us about these muzzleloaders. I was injured at my work and had to receive multiple surgeries to my wrist. We have also experienced a great loss in the death of our mentor , Richard Duron Sr. (Sticz). Plan to post some more videos of us building guns and still working on getting website up and running.
Sorry to hear about the bad run of luck. Your guns are beautiful. The rifles are beautiful pieces of art that will serve as an heirloom to pass along to my posterity. Do you have a catalog? I know that the website isn't up and running.
Those are some pretty guns. I am kicking around the idea of buying a traditions Kentucky long rifle kit and was wondering if you experts would be willing to lend me some advice before I do.
As a cheap starter gun the traditions would be okay but the Pedersoli would be worth the extra $. and a much better starter gun that would last you many years
When sighting in, 3 shots should be fired for each group before adjusting the sights, not one. With just one shot per, you'll end up chasin' it all day.
I'm not sure if they're an art piece or a rifle ( most likely BOTH ) !!!! Probably two or three house payments ( maybe even cause for a divorce or two , too ) LOL 🎉
Where can I get information on ordering a rifle and find out what’s available as to styles parts specifics and the prices of rifles as ordered. Delivery times etc. do you have catalogs? Thank you 😊👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
