If apple was concerned about the environment they wouldn’t release each year an incremental iPhone with a locked battery and without the ability to repair with a third party.
You have a point but the thing is, a person can keep an iphone for 5 years before upgrading if used properly whereas my Samsung phone needs to be replaced every 2 to 3 years because of software support abandonment. Technically, one company has less e-wastage vs the other.
They are only concerned about how much cash will come in.

I miss when apple was actually innovative. I wonder what the engineers and designers do there.
The problem is smart phones have become more than good enough for what they need to do but the company’s know that people will keep buying the new ones every years over and over and over again so we are stuck in this new phone every year loop whereas they should only be releasing new phones ever three or four years at the most

The issue is one of capability now. They’ve pretty much reach the zenith of thinness and screen-bigness. To wow people today would require something truly special.

It won’t matter New phones are always cheaper because of the promos, just depends on who’s your services provider and you’ll probably need a trade- in device. If you don’t have a trade in then disregard what I wrote.
They cut the price right after the next iPhone is announced. The 12 is already 100 cheaper

Bluetooth 5.0, and wifi 6. and thats worth Updating for. and 7 will never have those an can never be upgraded. I would consider if i were You coming from a 7 like my self.

@@nlgkekjnsk1 ill give you an example My i7 is anywhere from 1-20ft away from my gateway wifi6 .with i7 with its old wifi connection i got 120down, and 25 over 4gLte. still really good but my friend same room with his i12 got over 300down/75 on 5g. thats Huge! cause he has a wifi6/5g compatible device and i pay for 500mb Service. so its seems worth it to me.

I know other companies started doing this long time ago but I'm happy they now offer 128GB on the regular iPhone (not Pro) as the base model.

2024 + on Up is where the real what if is? after those features are released there nothing more to do. look at 2011 i5 , Put a A15 chip/5g chip in there and its still a awesome phone, and that was 10 years ago!! so sometime next election Year is when we will see something really special that there holding out on an not telling us about, cause there gonna squeeze every year till that reveals itself

Smart phones seems to have reached their plateau. I’m not even sure what I want out of a phone that I don’t already have now with my 12Pro Max.
Foldable, no crease, better cameras, Better battery life, no notch, minimal bezels, repairable, better spatial mics, using iPhones as a remote for TVs and iPads. Better button placements, higher refresh rates, more power and ram. Can go on and on.

Everything here was expected and honestly a let down. Not even a refresh to the Apple Watch. That’s a big disappointment. The only real game changer is the refresh rate and better battery in the pro. Even then they are simply playing catch up.
Having 120hz on a phone is so overrated and unnecessary, this is why they did adaptive refresh and not constant 120hz because Apple is actually smart
@@habibmate8466 most phones with high refresh rates are adaptive refresh screens. They aren’t the first to think of adaptive refresh rate displays for phones. Now perhaps their software will make the experience more smooth. I’m happy for the upgrade either way

I can understand how everyone is getting tired of basically the same phone literally every year or less, but imagine going from a iPhone 7 Plus to and iPhone 13 Pro(me). It feels really cool but still hopefully they can just take some time to become a little creative like a couple years ago
I’m happy about the iPad mini having the new look same as the other iPads, but it’s too expensive for what it is. I’m gonna stick with my iPad 7 gen, but am upgrading to an iPad Pro soon

I'm not really into this new iPhone. The design is like a Frankenstein of all Android phones' trends and don't look like a >new< phone. Camera settings is always getting more and more aimed at a professional niche. I think the only thing that is still impressive on iPhones is their processors, really a game-changing feature

What can you actually do with an iPad? Android is open enough that I can do a lot of my productivity on an Android Tablet. On iOS you can't even mount an NTFS HDD.
Where's the actual software, Apple? Where's Final Cut for iPad? Where's the ability to run Terminal and MacOS apps? The chips are basically the same across all your products now, no reason for your to hold out.

It’ll hurt their laptop sales if they did that probably, but I agree with you. This is the frustrating thing with Apple tablets atm, it’s powerful enough to do some decent productivity, but it’s capped by software and OS limitations.

I only really switched to iPhone XR due to all my friends and family using iPhone and at the time there was a good deal. I dunno how the new Android phones are battery life longevity wise. I do miss the customization of Android tho.

I was hearing about how underwhelming this phone is...but the iphone13 pro actually blew my mind with the new techs. Adaptive frame rate..if it's done as well as it claims, would increase battery life by a significant amount. Running the cinematic mode smoothly is also not easy. I'm a diehard pixel user but this is the first iphone that impresses me
