Innovators often don't see the future... Many have no idea that they're part of something huge, some aren't even aware that they're onto something great. Most groundbreaking artists are just creating in the moment from their innate inspiration.
They really were. I remember being shocked when I learned they started around 2005
Learned about them as a teen around 2009. Now I am 30 and so gratefull my younger self discovered this amazing band 🙏

I haven't been into the genre since I was in highschool but this song still hits different.
I've been listening to Pendulum since 6th grade. I'm 25 now. This is one fo the few bands that has remained in my music library for over a decade. They really predicted the future of music quite well

I remember being dumped by my ex gf of 8 months for another guy and it absolutely destroyed me. I couldn’t eat, could barely goto sleep, could barely look at the places me and my ex used to goto, could barely drag myself out of bed. It felt like my world was crumbling around me and the air was hard to breathe.
I watched a self help video that gave me advice and ended the video telling me to get out of bed and simply move. Run. Anything, but lay down and be depressed about the break up. I bought some decent running shoes, put in my earbuds, and a snug hoodie. It was lightly raining outside.
I put my Spotify on shuffle to this running playlist and I remember vividly, Crush by Pendulum was the 2nd song to play. I never felt so hyped and angry while running when this song played. I put Crush on repeat and I went on to run 7 miles, the light drizzle hitting my skin, feeling the breeze along the coast, my adrenaline pumping, my legs burning. I ran as fast as I could.
Running to this song felt like taking my power back after being abaondoned. Idk what it is, something about the combination of drum-n-bass and Rob Swire’s vocals made me feel like I can now take on anything the world can throw at me. I lost weight, I opened my heart again to meeting someone 100x better, and I have a new favorite song.
I just wanted to say that this song honestly pulled me out of a really dark place in my life and has become my theme song to this day. This is a masterpiece and I will always be thankful to Pendulum and Rob Swire for this track

I love the relatively recent lyricism Pendulum has been introducing to their songs; I mean, their oldy stuff with all instrumentals (and the occasional Jamaican chanting lol) is wonderful too but Rob Swire has a GREAT VOICE and I'm glad I got to hear it.

MaxTheGabri dura farlo in Italia le strade fanno pena almeno nella mia zona (Veneto) e in autostrada ci sono autovelox ovunque... tu di dove sei? ho avuto la fortuna di fare un giro in Germania con un amico e suo padre gli ha lasciato la M3 e sulle autobahn in molti tratti è senza limiti di velocità ma poi sono larghissime e dritte... ti dico solo che a 280 km/h ci ha superato una lamborghini in piena aperta sarà stata ai 330 la abbiamo vista 10 secondi poi è sparita :)
Bari, e lo so bene che le strade fanno più o meno pena, per fortuna ci sono dei tratti di strada che hanno almeno 110 km/h di limite, meglio di niente lol
