Sourav Ganguly is someone who does not give a damn about authority. Even as a captain when he wanted Harbajan Singh for the Australia Tour of India in 2001 he was adamant about getting Harbhajan Singh into the team despite the fact Harbhajan Singh had major disciplinary issues. Also, the irony is that N.Srinivasan points out the conflict of interest whereas everybody knows how much of a conflict of interest is there with N.Srinivasan being a board member and a majority owner of CSK at the same time.

It shows how Ganguly is still critical if not in cricket, still in west bengal politics. Ganguly stood for what he believed and did that no matter forces wanted him to do.

Very interesting, amusing and informative that remained under the Carpets of power corridor. Eyes contact's between Sourav & Jay often I observed very intently that reflected hidden inner noises regarding power struggle. Perhaps Jay played a hidden role to dethrone Sourav from his enlightened position. Essentially, Politics have spoiled prospects of a prosperous personality in the political spaces. That's a good learning point for Sourav who tried to become larger than life.
Wonderful video. Thanks for explaining the true facts. In my opinion no candidate from any Political party should hold any post in BCCI. All Board members should comprise of former top class cricketers Indian cricketers only. It should be an Independent body comprising of Cricketers only for the upliftment of Indian cricket. I simply don't understand the role of outsiders in the Board. To be a member your eligibility should be that you have been a cricket player yourself, period.
Sourav's selection had a political motive, his removal also had a political motive. But because that person is Maharaj, people are discussing the issue. Nobody will discuss when Biny will go. Sourav accepted the post but didn't accept the stick, so he had to go. Now for nothing he is trying to be President CAB. Bad move like Jagmohan Dalmia.
