  • We're repotting this new Ruby Necklace-Othonna Capensis plant. This plant is such a pretty hanging succulent with purple stems and long, oval-shaped succulent leaves. Apparently, it is easy to grow and propagate. I will attempt to propagate some of the stems in this video.

Just got a nearly dead one from my neighbor this is good to know now I can properly save what was still alive from it
I just have the pieces stuck in dirt but the stems are growing roots I may need to plant it a different way

How are your cuttings doing? I've taken a few cuttings and replanted in different pots. So far so good...

So far so good, I’ve discovered their not keen on direct sun preferring filtered sunlight. Out of 4 cuttings I have 3 doing well
      Thanks for asking

What is the purpose of the calcined clay at the bottom of the pot?

Omg I have a pot that looks a lot like the little sheep! We call it the "death pot". Idk if it's because it's the only ceramic type pot and the others are plastic so the change in temperature affects the plants, or if it's a drainage issue or what, but anything except chia seeds just dies. 😥

Looks like u did it the same as u did I don’t know why the stems are growing roots
I know how to check for roots on a propagation look for new growth and after a few weeks carefully tug on it if there’s resistance along with new growth it’s rooting 🙂
