I want to be a game developer but what I can't figure out is if game developers are the same as programmers
And how to become a game developer.

Hi LJ kk, "game developer" usually means anybody who works on a game. There are many different jobs on a game team, including Programmer, Artist, Designer, Animator, Producer, QA Tester, and more.

Hi Anthony, it sounds like you're on a good track -- write every day, meet other writers to network and share ideas, and publish as much good material as you can. Everything you write can become part of your portfolio for when you apply for jobs!

When you said write stories, are we talking full fledged novels or just a very detailed outline? Or even many outlines for the different aspects of the story?
