This song and Eric Clapton's "Let It Rain" always remind me of one another, especially the Delaney Bramlett mix of "Let It Rain". This version of "It Don't Come Easy" and again "Let It Rain" both sound like they could fit right into the 'All Things Must Pass' sessions.
To me this track is super humbling. Even Ringo Starr, arguably one of the most influential drummers of all time gets nervous and forgets the lyrics on stage and rushes the song. It still is such a fucking sick live track (along with the rest of the album)
I don't think he got nervous. I read he came halfway around the world to do the concert. I think he was tired or discombobulated. God bless him, he did it for free for a good cause.
"The third version of the song would become the version we know. They resumed recording a few weeks later, on 8 March 1970 at Trident Studios. Produced by Harrison, who along with Stills and Voormann contributed to the song as before. The song was then left until October 1970, at which point further overdubs were made. The song was finally released on 9 April 1971 in the UK, and a week later in the US. Reviews were strong, and audiences everywhere embraced it." --Ringo Starr Good ol' 1970.
No he didn’t they co wrote it together Ringo originally had an idea for a song about “Paying Your Do’s”. I don’t like this lie it spreads the message that Ringo wasn’t a good songwriter when he was a pretty good one.
@@VerticalMan09 Look....im a huge Ringo fan and a drummer of 41 years, I get the love for Ringo...But take off the blinders man, I lay down a drumtrack, im a co-writer.
Great bass work by the legendary Klaus Voorman!
Great ”turbo version” this Ringos best solo song !!!
you mean George's!
@@sallybrown5089 Huh? Ringo wrote it with George helping.
@@dirkbag22 Not really. It´s George´s, but he gave it to Ringo, including the credits.
There is a recording of George singing it!
wonderful work of George Harrison in Bangladesh
Anyone Know where I an download whole concert?
@@rupertpaget you can’t download it because all the profits still go to Bangladesh charities

My favorite Ringo song - funny that he forgot the lyrics but still great job 😂😊
Mitico Ringo Starr con l aiuto di Harrison ha scritto la miglior canzone dei Beatles solo.
Such a Classic , wowza !!
Love this song and Ringo, Although not the best vocalist just shines and excels at his craft,,,God bless you Richard...I love you!!!1

I love this album.
Right! He probably figured, "Hell, if it's good enough for John, I can do it too!" LoL@@TheBatugan77

Concert was in 1971.

Good ol' 1970.
Love me some Ringo. Each Beatle had at least 2 number 1 hit songs on Billboard as solo artists. Let's see the Bay City Rollers do that.
We thought we could bring peace to the world
EC on lead guitar and George on rhythm.
In the middle of the song he forgets the words. But I get it
That cracked me up when I heard it starting at 1:19.
Fantastic sad they took video down
The video is still up
@@thevideoandmusicpreserver4283 i saw one years back, cant find. Now there is one but it is disjointed
