DB ICE train is an high speed rail network in Germany. It connects many bigger cities in Germany and also the destinations in Switzerland, Belgium, France. The highest speed for the ICE train is around 350 kmph. Normally deutsche trains are really good however there are issues like train rescheduling or even cancellations. When should we book ICE tickets? As soon as we planned our travel. As the day of travel comes nearer, the ICE ticket price increases.
Facts:
When our ICE train was rescheduled, as per rule we boarded another ICE train on the same route.
We can board either another ICE or another lower cost DB train on the same route.
If you have made the seat reservations, and the train is either rescheduled or cancelled you will get refund for the seat reservations in the DB office at the train stations.
Our journey cost: 120 euros for 3 persons to and fro.
Refund we received for seats: 12 euros.
