Recovering from Cannabis Addiction and Cannabis-Induced Psychosis

- My name is Zach P. I am 20 years old from Houston, TX. I had drug-induced psychosis caused by marijuana in July of 2020. Since then I’ve joined a sober peer group and work an AA program where I’ve been able to maintain sobriety for over a year. I’ve worked at a grocery store for nearly 3 years and my family relationships have improved tremendously since I’ve been in recovery. I am an addict and therefore I have to constantly work a program of recovery if I want to stay sober. Please join me to hear my experience, strength, and hope from recovering from psychosis and addiction.
Join us on the first Friday of every month for messages of hope and healing from the impacts of marijuana. We welcome a different speaker every month who will share their experience and provide pathways to find serenity as we navigate through today’s pro-marijuana/drug culture. Whether you’re grieving the loss of a loved one or trying to recover yourself, this meeting is for you. You will be a Q & A at the end of each meeting. This meeting is appropriate for all family members ages 16 and up.

I do not agree, he is not an addict but he used to be addicted, that is an important difference.

I checked. They seem completely devoted to eradicating the Evil Weed. You know, the stuff that many people use to treat PTSD and pain. It's not the responsible users' fault that you don't watch your kids and they eat drugs. It's enough to drive you to drink, I tell ya.
Alcohol is a horrible drug that society accepts as normal... 100x worse than some natural growing pot... drinking and driving kills so many innocent ppl and families, but it is sold on almost every corner... drinking and driving is a bad combo, so they sell it at every station you go to fill up your car, DRIVE thru liquor stores, and bars with huge parking lots.. make it make sense..

No, we just want to vilify weed and take it away from everybody because the people in this organization just wanna ruin everyone’s fun.

But there’s already a ton of organizations dedicated to alcoholism and alcohol abuse/recovery… Now we’re starting to see the damage that marijuana is doing.

Poeple think it's ok to smoke pot drink beer and nothings going to happen but what they don't realize is this is the begining to hard drugs and your down fall.anybody outthere it's never to late to turn around and go the other way
Some bill allways has to be paid often with interests too.
Cannabis does not lead to hard drugs.
Most cannabis users do not use hard drugs. However probably all hard drug users have tried marijuana.
I say alcohol is more of a entry to trying harder stuff such as coke
That’s true, all hard drugs users started with weed…and those people that are only smoking weed and not doing hard drugs…just wait and you’ll see for yourself
@ston3dhomosapi3n you are correct. This distinction between soft and hard drugs is weird, though. Weed can be just a strong of an effect as heroin. Depending on dose of course.
@@Rocketman0407 but the different in addiction is lightyears, weed is laughable, I have been trying to quit IV heroin since 2009, endless rehabs, near deaths in hospitals, detoxs by the hundreds, endless methadone and subutex programes, even implants in my tummy, nothing works.
@@ston3dhomosapi3n yes when I was 15 a policeman said ask all the addicts in this town what they started on, they will all say weed, well a few months later I was smoking heroin, that was in 98, am still addicted today, weed is a gateway drug.
