a cricketer and a gentleman ! In an interview with Waqar Younis and Wasim Akram just before a test series in India, Waqar was asked ... "which batsman do you fear the most...?" In an instant came the answer from Waqar..." Rahul Dravid".... and Wasim Akram agreed. Wether it was the test match or a one-day, Rahul helped India win many a game !

In my view if he was born in another country he would get high recognition and more fame than any other player. See world class quality of the the century or double knocks he played in England and Australia you would agree . He is a legend. Even though he achieved great success and fame he is humbled in nature and he is a good human being.

Rahul Dravid sacrificed a lot while playing for India like keeping wickets and opening in Test matches when others weren't there to put their hands up. So I don't think Sachin needs to weep over the fact that he missed a double century "unfairly" when all that mattered was an Indian win.

Sachin is great player, one in a generation.. Dravid is good player not great, before Talking about sachin's 194 and the declaration let's talk about more than 150-170 one day internationals where Dravid had strike rate of 50-65 where the chase is not going anywhere or while India is setting target, the worm goes down down down untill the Robin singhs, ms'd's or uthappa's come and accelerate and lost their way, only bcoz of dravid's slower strike rate, I accept he is humble, good test player and team player who even wore keeper gloves for team balance but NOT SOME ONE WHO CAN BE COMPARED ANY WHERE NEAR TO SACHIN, SACH's strike rate is near 90 all the time in odi's and never below 55 in tests,
I understand Its not intent that Dravid doesn't have, it's limitations of his batting, but a batter with limitations cannot be called GREAT
      IT'S BRADMAN, SACHIN, SOBERS etc
Never ever compare Dravid, ms's with sachin.

@@dr.harshamssportsrehab.9151 i do understand that you have not watched the ODI cricket when rahul dravid playyed. he has 73 strike rate playing at different positions. the sachin tendulkar your talking has most of his runs as opener and cashed in batting power play at the start of the match. I do admire sachin as all indians do, but dravid needs to be respected and should be given credit for what he has given. he kept wickets in 73 ODIs even though he is not a professional wicket keeper and played in various positions in accordence with the team needs. mind you he has 22 ball 50
