Sometimes Selena seems really uncomfortable to me in interviews, but here she seems so relaxed and like she’s having fun. I think Kelly is a great host and interviewer because she is so down to earth and genuine.
Kelly is actually a pretty good interviewer I gathered after watching not only other celebs but regular folks as well on the show. She makes everyone feel really comfortable and at ease which is amazing. Her interviewing style is casual friends down the block and it works very well

Kelly's advice about being a "good singer" is ON POINT. I dun think Selena has a strong vocal but to be honest, I listen to most of her songs. They're catchy, meaningful and especially - suit my emotion.

I always liked Selena not musically but her acknowledging that she isn't the best singer but just loved to create made me like her even more. You don't have to be the best but just enjoy what you do.

She has a nice voice, she just doesn't have the best singing technique and gets really nervous on stage. If you ever see videos of her singing alone or acoustic versions of songs she sounds much better than she usually does live. I think she needs to have more confidence in herself for her to sing her best on stage. It isn't that she has a bad voice, actually I prefer her soft tone of voice, but she needs to learn how to control her range and hit the notes on stage.
@@AuraKumo104 I never liked her music until "Rare", I always thought her music sounded wierd, it didn't fit her voice and it was over produced, but with "Rare" it feels like she learned more about her own voice and how to use it. Now she has to work more on her confidence.

Yeah the thing people have to consider is when you're a child star, you dont know what exactly you're asking for tbh. So if you're young and get famous then when you grow up, you realize being a celebrity isn't as glamorous as you thought when you were a child. So in a way, all of them wanna be normal.

I have a new found level of respect for Kelly Clarkson. Wow! What she said to Selena about being the “best singer” is nothing but the TRUTH!!!!! That was mind-blowing!!! My heart just warmed when I saw this amazing woman empowering another. Selena has so many insecurities due to so much emotional and mental damage from people who have come after her. Immediately her body language changed and she fell into this level of comfort and safety… I wish more interviewers (and people in general) were this way. She is a rare young lady, because she’s not like the rest.’. People lack originality. People want to be like everyone else and no one dares to be different. I love Selena for being brave enough to want to be different-that’s what makes her unique and special!

You can tell Selena is uncomfortable or rather knows that she does not have the most powerful voice. She knows that. She doesn’t need us to pointed out. She still has some talent and she’s able to share that with us in the way that she’s able to, creatively. I like how Kelly Clarkson validated that for her.

What Kelly told Selena about Selena’s gift was empowering. I’ve heard that women are hard with other women, even mean, especially in the Hollywood industry. I’ve listened to many singers talking terrible things about others. However, here, Kelly showed that there’s no competition but empowerment when we’re sure about what we are. I loved it, and I don’t even know a single song by Selena. So good for them.
I absolutely adore what Kelly told her about her voice and talent. I feel like it meant a lot to Sel. I hate when ppl say that she can’t sing because to me her voice is one of the most angelic and satisfying sound. I love her music. Her rare album got me through alot in ways that other albums couldn’t this time. She made me wanna dance through my pain. I felt understood and full of hope and empowered. She made me feel like I could still be a powerhouse even if I’ve been broken. I just love her ❤️

That was so sweet how Kelly encouraged Selena.💖 I really wanted to cry, because you could tell that she accepted the negative comments others have said about her voice, even though it hurts her deeply. She is definitely a fighter for still moving forward with creating music. When you find your passion no one can stop you. You may slow down a little, but you will always keep going.
