One time, me and my friends thought it would be a good idea to go on a random work day outside of school holidays, so it would be less busy. When we got into a traffic jam close to the Efteling we got confused, so I looked online and it appeared to be the Efteling Toyota family day or something. It seemed that everyone who had a Toyota had gotten very cheap tickets to Efteling that day for the whole family! Ughhhhh. But luckily, parking was free (sponsored by Toyota) and Efteling stayed open longer. So definitely check the date on the website before you go!!!

Always check the crowd calendar indeed. 😉 but also for openings hours. They changed last Monday and we had to wait for park opening. So we made one of the rookie mistakes ourselves 😅

Yes exactly and people stand in line here to buy tickets while it is not necessary. So the rookie mistake is standing in line here to buy an entrance ticket.
