- Rockapellas version of Zombie jamboree.

Lyrics from www.stlyrics.com/songs/r/rock...
ey, Back to back, ha ha ha ha, hey, belly to belly
Yes my friends
Hey, Back to back, ha ha ha ha, hey, belly to belly
It was a zombie jamboree
Took place in the New York cemetery
Oh, it was a zombie jamboree
Took place in the New York cemetery
Zombies from all parts of the island
Some of them are great Calypsonians
Since the season was carnival
They got together in bacchan*l
And they were singing
Back to back, ghoul, belly to belly
Well, I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already
Back to back, oh oh oh, belly to belly
It's a zombie jamboree
One female zombie she wouldn't behave
See how's she's dancing out of the grave
In one hand she's holding a quart of rum
The other hand is knocking a conga drum
You know the lead singer starts to make his rhyme
While the other zombie is rockin' in time
One bystander, he had this to say
"It was a trip to see the zombies break away"
Shah! And they were singing
Back to back, mon, belly to belly
Well, I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already
Back to back, oh, belly to belly
It's a zombie jamboree
And they were singing
Back to back, mon, belly to belly
Well, I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already
Oh, back to back, oh oh oh, belly to belly
It's a zombie jamboree
Hey hey, back to back, everyone we sing, back to back
And belly to belly then back to back
One two three four
Hey, what a zombie jamboree
From Times Square to the Statue of Liberty
Uptown, downtown zombie jamboree
Whoa whoa whoa, yeah yeah
There's a high-wire zombie 'tween the World Trades
A King Kong zombie on the Empire State
But the biggest zombies Tokyo to Rome
The zombies who call the city home
Hah, what they do, huh
Back to back, ghoul, belly to belly
Well, I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already
Back to back, oh oh oh, belly to belly
It's a zombie jamboree
And they were singing
Back to back, mon, belly to belly
But I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already
Back to back, ha ha, belly to belly
It's a zombie jamboree
I need the chorus
Back to back, ghoul, belly to belly
Well, I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already, yeah
Back to back, mon, belly to belly
It's a zombie jamboree
Back to back, hey
Back to back, mon, belly to belly
Well, I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already
Back to back, ha, belly to belly
It's a zombie jamboree
Sing the chorus
Back to back, whoah, belly to belly
Well, I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already
Back to back, ha ha, belly to belly
It's a zombie jamboree
Do the limbo
Back to back to back to back to belly
I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already
Back to back, mon, belly to belly
It's a zombie jamboree
One more time, yeah
Back to back, belly to belly
Well, I don't give a damn 'cause I'm stone dead already, yeah
Back to back, mon, belly to belly
It's a zombie jamboree - Hudba
my uncle made me a tape with this song on it when i was little and it was my favorite song for a while. i used to make my mom play it every time we were in the car. it's still hella catchy.
I first heard this on “Where In The World Is Carmen San Diego” 30 years ago.
Yep. It was funny until PBS noticed the mild profanity and made them change it.
@@wandererwerewolf477 The Wild:Monsters!
My childhood in a nutshell.
This is how I learned "damn" was a swear word.
My fanatically religious dad wasn't happy.
Me too, came on at the end of the episode and I remember I had to bust the tape recorder out and that's how I saved it.
Same
Best version of this one ever heard is when I heard them perform it live at the Shasta Fairgrounds in Anderson California, and they did it on a flatbed trailer. I honestly have no idea how long ago it was, but it was at least 20 years ago. They were amazing!
If there's ever a zombie apocalypse I'm going to make armored trucks so that on holidays we can go on killing sprees. All of them will be blasting this song
Kicking down the stairs grabbing a pile I am otw
Fuckin tablet like
Omg yes
This gets stuck in your head instantly. I LOVE IT!
First heard this on Doctor Demento's Halloween special. Great song!
I have to blame/thank Taliesin Jaffe for getting this song stuck in my head... I have been singing it for the past 4 hours... (My favourite bit is always at 2:56 where the little voice says "Zombie!!")
One of the choirs actually performed this at school last night.
I feel like this is gonna be something on my playlist.
Look I know this is seven years old but I think I know when/where you're talking about
Hello there.
I'm singing this with my school choir! :D
i had to sing this in choir and i had a solo it was torture
this is officially the theme song to my zombie themed mtg deck
and the zombie world yugioh deck
Imagine killing zombies while listening to this song
Kajsa Alexandria or dancing to this with a bunch of skelotens on day of the dead
I’d do that
i would feel like a badass joke, badass but still a joke
Lol.
With one wearing a pink suit and fedora
Unfortunately, the photo of the group in the video is NOT of the guys who are in the recording you are listening to. NONE of those guys in the photo are from the ORIGINAL Rockapella group which made this recording. Just some FYI!
I was in a hurry when i made this. Didn't know anything about them at the time, other than i liked the song. Still don't know anything about them. I just picked this off of google cause i thought it looked nice, and was better than a black screen.
Pretty sure the guy in the left and the middle guy were. They were both in Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego in the episode that featured the song. That's what brought me here. The episode is The Taking of the Shrew.
The guy in the middle is Scott Leonard, who was indeed on Carmen Sandiego (which began in 1991), but I believe this recording is from 1989, before Scott joined. The guy on the left is Kevin Wright, who didn't join until 1997, well after the end of "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?". So I think it is indeed the case that none of the people pictured are heard in this recording.
@@furrykef I believe Scott was in the original. If you do a search for "Rockapella Zombie Jamboree (Doo Wopp)", you'll find the original music video.
Hi, ALL.
For the correct group of guys, watch this YT video :

Thumbs up if you came here from Newgrounds. AND FINALY FOUND THE RIGHT VERSION! :D
Newgrounds video or game or what? I'm intrigued
Technically, the recording from that new grounds video is a little different...
But thumbs up!
whos newgrounds?? is he a fortnite streamer???
Ty for responding to this guys, Reliving old gems on NG as we seak lul
There a video called"Gone Too far Too"
I remember seeing them perform this on Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego. I couldn't understand anything they were saying other than "I don't give a damn." That shocked me because my mouth wasn't squeaky clean at that age, I said much worse things, but hearing them say "damn" on a PBS children's show aimed at preteens/early teens was scandalous to me at the time.
Great show.
I was just thinking the same thing!
I grew up with this song. I listened to Do It Acapella every time I was in the car.
I sang this in my college acapella group . It's one of my favorites
Nice
Greatest Quintet of White Guys EVER. You can't beat these guys. I've listened to this song around 100 times already, and I'm STILL singing along with it! ...Back to back, mon. Belly to belly, well I don't give a damn, cause I'm stone dead already...
Ummm, has nobody told you?
@@aarons4115 Told me what, precisely? I've been told a great many things over my lifetime. Many of which were false, or outright evil. You'll need to narrow it down, rather than waste my time.
@@MrJinglejanglejingle i think they were talking about the fact that uh two of them are well black not white.
@@celtne6860 ...Damn, we really reviving an 11 year old comment... And yeah, fair enough. I swore that all five were white at one point or another, but, at the end of the day, just ain't the case, regardless.
Thanks for putting this up! Love this song. :-)
This belongs in a Zombie Killing video game trailer.
I like the idea
czcams.com/video/6LqX2iyV8iA/video.html
I thought the exact same thing lol
To me it's weird how many people associate this song with games, films, or fantiasies about KILLING zombies. The song is all about a bunch of zombies having fun and not bothering anybody. Why kill them? (Not to mention that zombies are already dead, right?) The original song (BEFORE Harrry Belafonte and many others) was Jumbie Jamboree. Jumbies are a type of undead creature, but they don't eat brains.
They should put it in a walking dead episode
Well lucky for you I’m making a zombie trailer very soon
Came here because of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego!!! Saw the ORIGINAL Rockapella sing the song, but Harry Bellafonte sung the original song!!!
Kingston Trio did it before him, and they credit Lord Invader.
i LOVE how sean sings i need the chorus at 2:42
How was this so damn hard to find?
+midgettoe2000 cause its so rare???
+midgettoe2000 Try the 1956 version by King Flash and The Calypso Carnival
midgettoe2000 took my dad 5 years to find it after hearing it in a commercial (this was when the internet was in its infancy)
i know right
It sounds a little different than the version
used in "Gone too Far Too"
But it's still stuck in my Head!
The Kinkston Trio Does a great job at singing this.
i will never be sad again!!!!
My scoutmaster taught us this song back in the 1950s. Troop 173, Brooklyn, NY. Made for a rousing campfire sing along.
A classic (!)
Thanks for uploading!!!
I swear. I will embrace the apocalypse if it sounds like this.
This will always be my happy song xD
@carapo66 thanks for the info but i already knew they were'nt the original singers of the song...... i was only referring to the "original" that rocakapella did back in 90 (with Altman singing lead) when they were performing on spike lee's "do it acappella".... as opposed to the new rendition when they had kevin singing the lead....
Barry Carl = BEAST!
I fell in love with thus song from Do It Acapella, by Spike Lee I think. I wore out the Vhs!
This song was playing at the beginning of the Beetlejuice show at Universal :P Its awesome
zombie jamboree song was on one episode of where in the world is CARMEN SANDIEGO
Far and away the best version of this song, even though I usually prefer originals, they all pretty much fail to catch the rhythm like Rockapella does!
It's fitting for almost any Zombie themed Video Game
Stubs, Rebel without a Pulse
Dead Rising
Dead Island
Call of Duty Zombies
Killing Floor
etc...
Thank you
Six Flags needs to play this during the October Fright Fest.
Woah that's more then I expected!
How has this song not shown up on a zombie movie soundtrack yet?
I Love this song lol.
Great song for Halloween
great song ....
I found finally it a year now I found it Thank you
freakiong amazing song...
this needs to be in the walking dead lol
Heard this at carowinds yesterday!
It should be a crime to make this song this catchy.
Just think of you beating the crap out of zombies 🧟♀️ Whell listening to this
lol my music played this for us :3 yay Ms. Stanley!
I listen to this while playing Left 4 Dead. XD
"Back to back
Belly to belly
Well I don't give a damn
Cause im stoned dead already"
"Back to back
Belly to belly
A zombie jamboree"
Am I the only one picturing feral ghouls dancing to this? 🤣
Wooo 🥳
thanks Pcull
Gone too far too brought me here!
Epic
Dude...this is catchy.
@elrasa3, the original version was sung in the 1950's by a Trindiadian calypso singer named Lord Invader (Rupert Grant).
This song is best with Sean Altman singing lead. Kevin's voice is nice but this song is kinda goofy in itself, so Sean's voice is just perfect. :)
So my teacher told us to look this up....I hope to the most high that we are doing thius song. It's amazing. Complex but it's incredible.
@sadchad1 Actually, only one person in that picture is in the recording, Scott Leonard in the center
@sushisroxmysox Actually, if the version that you're looking for is the one from Gone Too Far Too (watch?v=RgTh_6d-Mh4), then this ISN'T the right version. This is the studio version from when Scott Leonard was high tenor, and the GTFT version features Steve Keyes, probably the recording they used on Spike Lee's documentary, "Do It A Cappella."
YAY! ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE !!! :D
x3 I think so too. Though it auto plays when the Horde come out. o-o
if this was to play at a school dance :D
i would actually go to one :3
Windycon!
zombie dance party!!!!!! Everbody dance!!!!!
I know I do. I grew up in the 90's

@maxnelson I'm wondering which album this is from. It's different from the version on Primer. Maybe Best Fest or From NY? It's in the track listings, but I don't have those albums.
HEY HEY HEY HEY! Dont forget me :D !
my fremd olee is soooo good i miss him tho : (
Happy Halloween
I remember the first time I heard this was two years before Carmen Sandiego TV show when I heard this on the premier September 30,1991 I cried because I already knew the song
This song was used for a clue on the premier espisode of Where in The World Is Carnen Sandiego Monday September 30,1991 this show was on the air Monday September 30,1991- Friday December 22,1995 this show ran for 5 seasons And continue to July 1996 with replays of the previous aired tapings
viewers had a second chance to rewatch there favorite espisodes if they got the question wrong the first time
Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego will always be my favorite children's TV Show of all time I liked this when I was age 9 I was one week from my 10th birthday when this show first aired I continued to love watching this until the end of my 8th grade year 95-96 prior to entering the 9th grade 1996-1997 this show prepared me for W HIST in the 6th grade I earned a 95 for the whole year and in the 10th grade W HIST I earned a 87 for the entire year of enrollment
They did a snakey dance, lower register!
@Indyclone77 that is exactly what i was thinking, lol
Sean Altman version is the best.
This IS the Sean Altman version! It's the wrong photo!

awesome version but wrong album cover, when they did this song they had different guy singing bass, (the guy who says back to back hahaha belly to belly in the beginning) and hes not on this album cover (look at a live version ull see what he looks like)
@AggeTGF hehehe surprised to find I'm not the only one
