    Easiest way to tell Tusa and comet apart. Whichever one is not checking their feet is tusa.

    When Jamie walks out and Tusa freaked everyone of the animals in the room just looked at my cockatiel, because he was raised with Macaws and copies their flock call/scream. My teil just looked at them like that's not me lol

  • @themanbehindtheslaughter3480

    When you first get a macaw. The noises are scare af. You twitch every time they make a tiny lil “ra” then eventually you will not even notice and someone comes over and they try a get away from u as fast as they can

    • @incanusolorin2607
      @incanusolorin2607 Před 3 lety +1

      Kaylee Thanks and sorry if I wasn’t clear. I didn’t mean to say that these birds are wild caught. I know they are all captive bred, but even if they never set foot on the jungle, they are still wild in the sense that they aren’t domesticated. Their genes and therefore their instincts are still the same as those of parrots born in the wild, because, unlike dogs, chickens, horses and cows, we haven’t selectively bred them for thousands of years.

    • @kaylee4705
      @kaylee4705 Před 3 lety +1

      Incanus Olórin you are absolutely correct. Lots of people don’t like zoos for that reason. All I can say is that if Birdtricks birds don’t get into the wild, they are living the absolute best life they can with them.

    Lol the 60/40 thing made me smile. When my partner was alive we had several cats. Dumo(aka Thundercat) who he rescued as a teeny kitten, Laza a foreign white, Tombi a tortie Burmese, Ilahle a red point siamese, and Madiba, a cream Burmese. Now, I'm a cat person.... I love them, they love me, but Madiba was always HIS cat. Officially so was Ilahle, but he turned into my cat, but not Madiba. My partner always used to say that ALL our cats were mine, but Madiba was his first, THEN mine. After my partner passed away suddenly, Madiba really missed him, but over time I've become an acceptable substitute I think. I still have Madiba and Ilahle today

It's stupid and I don't actually get mad or anything, but I'm still like *fake gasp* traitor! XD

    • @carolhartley4448
      @carolhartley4448 Před 4 lety +1

      Its different with birds, cuz remember they are flock animals/birds, cats and dogs are not flock animals so it's pretty hard to compare a bond you get with a parrot verses other animal, i mean no disrespect, i love all animals/and birds. Also parrots are exotic and not domesticated like a dog or cat, they are wild animals, the parrots.♥️and boy what great companions! Lol

    • @mimthyss
      @mimthyss Před 4 lety +1

      @@carolhartley4448 I know birds and cats are different. I wasn't referring to that haha. I'm saying you can still get jealous over your pet "choosing" somebody else over you regardless of what pet it is, unless it's like dogs or something. Dogs will love anybody haha. But cats are independent and very picky, they won't cuddle with just anybody. Lots of them will give the cold shoulder to 99% of people and become complete sweetheart babies for the other 1%. My family used to have a cat called Ruby like this, she was super grumpy and only liked one of our family members, would only purr for him and go to him etc. He could pick her up and she loved it, if we tried she'd claw the heck out of us xD you may not understand if you think cats aren't animals you can 'really' bond with. But they can be just as loving and bonded as a parrot

    Good example of sounds when you the leave the room & hey you left me behind. My macaw is more burglar alarm (w/ same sound as you left me behind) when we enter room or walk by.

    Your vid had 1.9k likes. I clicked like and it turned to 2k. I’ve been on YT since the beginning, and until a week ago, that had never happened, but a week or so ago, it happened for the first time (from 999 to 1k) and now it happens again... WOW... Maybe I need to play the lottery or something...☺️

    Oh boy i love your videos. I so need you for help with my new 7yr old male Amazon. He was in the same home for entire time. Owners older and sick couldnt take care of him. But he falls and flaps around when getting him to step up. Not sure if he was held much. Thank god he doesnt bite at all. He has picked my husband as his favorite. Really need help with not being able to step up and not fall or us trying to get him from stand to cage at night. He will not eat any other food but pellets. He refuses to eat any nuts, veggies so hard for training. Iam in florida as well. Really need help

    I'm so curious about that "car ride" squawk, my mitered conure does that.... Seems to be more towards evening time he'll just make that same noise while he's sitting me. He just sits there happy and content while making that noise (he just doesn't get louder lol).

    is it a voice? Man's voice is stronger by def, also as I see he provides more freedom he doesn't push it. How he do the back twist, he holds the bir? bird knows that it's safe and has support
