I understand when the rollers go in, that hair straightening is coming, but does anyone else think the hair gorgeous when the rollers come out before the straitening? So pretty. She is still beautiful no matter what, but i love the hair when it comes out of the rollers before being straitened . ❤️

Me too! I love the curls! We women have a tendency to not want styles that play on our hair's natural tendencies. Those of us who have curly or wavy hair want straight styles and vice versa. I feel we should all show off our hsir and try out styles that celebrate the waybour haur naturally grows. There are so many things that can be done with straight or curly hair. She did do a brautiful job though.

Im a white lady with natural curly hair and i have allways disliked it so much when i was a teen i used to put my hair on the ironing board and iron it i love how this ladies hair turned out so beautifull and so shiny shes beautifull and its all her own hair. Im going to try the roller set myself because my hair is allmost to my waist but no matter what i do it allways ends up frizzy. This ladys hair looks awesome.

@@janetwilson9208 That's the standard procedure for the process of changing curly hair to straight hair. You can look at other channels here on YT and the same procedure is executed.
I grew up being forced to get my hair straightened. It wasn’t until my daughter at the age of 16 told me that she no longer wanted to have her hair straight… She’s happy with her natural hair. That blew my mind and inspire me to get over that straight hair complex as well. I haven’t put a relaxer in my hair since probably 2011. Our hair is absolutely amazing and none of us should ever feel that we have to have straight hair to look nice. Heck… When I went bald from chemo treatments in 2017, I looked good bald 😆 This young lady’s hair was so beautiful curly it made me click on the thumbnail to check it out. As I write this message, I haven’t seen the end results but I just want to say that her hair was/is a showstopper🙌 OK my people… HuGzzz and ❤️

I am a “straight” natural in the winter and a curly natural in the summer. I love the diversity of my hair and the fact that I keep it healthy no matter which style I’m in at the time. There is no one way to be “natural” just like there is no one way to be black. Love the video and her reaction🙌🏾💜

As a girl with frizzy, naturally curly hair that for most of my life I only ever wear up or in a ponytail I can totally relate to how she reacted. The first time someone gave me the proper flat iron treatment and I saw my hair straight, it was so different for me and so refreshing and I felt truly glamorous.. It's incredible what that will do for someone so used to seeing themselves in one style most of their lives, someone who maybe can't style it that way themselves or just doesn't have the time or make the time.. It's so special and you can tell it's special to her.. Was her hair gorgeous before, YES... but was the result emotional and special and beautiful to me and her clearly, yes... Loved seeing her reaction!!!!

My hairstylist isn't scissor happy either. She just keep my ends trimmed and that's all. But I think no one should cut your hair if you do not ask for it and that's goes for a trim too
@@kaylynnejay But that's what I mean. You ask for a little trim abd they go almost berserk with the cutting. Folks need to learn to help themselves. Not knocking the stylists businesses as some are awesome. Just the chopping off women's long hair is what peevs me.
Sometimes stylists are just that but when a cosmetologist trims your hair they should be taking off what is split, dead and damaged to the point of being healthy and uniform. The problem is more so a lack of proper knowledge from a client and improper communication from the professional. The client needs to be shown what a trim would mean for them and an explanation of the pros and cons. At that point a person could decide if they can handle that now or if they want to try to take it slower.

I'm a guy who enjoys the beauty of his wife's natural hair but I have to say the young lady's hair is beautiful either way.
On a different note I'm glad there's ways to style natural hair without harmful chemicals like relaxers. My wife stopped relaxing her hair over five years ago and has never looked back. She has lupus and is a blessing she's still has healthy hair.

Look like the roller set is better than blow drying
If a roller set is done correctly as it was done here then it's a lot less heat on the hair. The type of rollers used added the tension without tearing the air. Sitting under a dryer isnt direct heat so in theory it's a lot safer than a blow dry.

Could you explain that to me...not being funny....is it for less heat or direct heat on the hair? I'm just thinking for timing, why put a client under the dryer for all that time when you could have blow dried the hair and flat ironed them? They could be done in 1 hour or less versus sitting under the dryer for hours only to still have to take the rollers out and flat iron it straight anyway.
kkain123 it is less direct heat. But for me personally the body and shine that it gives is unmatched and it last a lot longer. Now I don’t flatiron mine bone straight. I like some curls at the end. I like that I’m able to use less heat when I run through it with the flat iron because I’m already almost where I want to be when I take out the rollers (I just prefer straighter roots) and my curls on the end are bouncier and stay way longer even when I wrap every night. I have hair that makes a lot of it’s own oil and for me to still have body and curls for over a week is everything. Then I’ll put in a ponytail for another week and my ponytail is still cute and bouncy. The rollers used in this video really dry the hair fast and if you’re skilled at rolling it really doesn’t add much time especially if you’re at a busy salon sitting around waiting after you’ve been blow dried anyway. At first I thought I would only do it every other wash but the results I get make me not want to use the blow dryer even though it would be quicker. And people have noticed the difference and have asked me what I’ve been doing differently. So for me it’s worth that extra hour and a half give or take. I dry completely in about 50 minutes the rest is rolling time....those pins are tricky.

I don't think that's her mind set, I have wavy/curly hair and when I get it straightened, it's a length check and shows the reality that you got length and your hair care regimen for healthy hair is actively working... She probably never or rarely get it straightened and feels proud...I rarely get mine straightened and feel elated too...
You POCs aren't the only ones that must comb your hair if you want it to look good. I'd be glad to see more taught this. Comb your hair. Condition it however needed. We ALL must do that.
