You have a sharp eye, most would have missed that very small detail. The machine you have was Bobcats first track loader and they have a few inherent issues. Be sure to change the outer bearing lube regularly on the drive motors, rebuilding them is an expensive pain! With good maintenance it should go 4000 hrs or more.
Good eye Andrew ! I watched this video today....and after the entire series on that green house....it makes me realize just how patient a guy you are but working alone has its benefits : ONE...being able to vent without anyone hearing it and TWO ...not having to apologize to anyone but yourself 🙃
He does let an issue go a while doesn't he. LOL but I admit it is easier to find something that is "broke" as apposed to looking for something that does not work quite right.
You said it.... we are all on your side here is why. might be stupid ideas but we are all trying to help... the guy on the help line just wants you to go away so he can answer another call....
Something to look at on the G series machines is that fuse box that is right below the seat like between your legs. It seems to leak water and the fuses get just a little bit of corrosion and will cause things to go off and on. Ive had the traction not want to relese. Ive had the alternator not charge the battery.
After binge watching all ur vids I gotta say I find it funny how this bobcat gives u problems frequently but the Japanese cl35 one has yet to be in a repair vid lol
another person i watched had to replace the joy stick for the same reason, and that little control stick was over 1k. i hope that you found the problem
Bobcats are notoriously problematic with their fuse holders. My neighbor had the same issue on a T190. Pulled the fuse for that circuit and cleaned the contacts and the fuse and the problem has been gone since. We subsequently did all the rest of the fuses and he said it hasn't run that well since it was new.
I just replaced the multiple wiring harnesses (several) on a bobcat skid steer, a rodent problem ($11,000.00+). You do not want to start doing ANY major electrical work on your machine unless you have it in a shop with plenty of your tools handy......and prepared for a lot of down time. In my case it was a 'rat's nest', literally, but covered by insurance! ....13 P. S. The wiring jackets are made with a vegetable base oil, thus the rats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a bad year for me with wires and rats! My dealer mechanic suggested liquid soap mixed with water to spray on any areas rats like to chew. So far so good.
Bobcat used to make an excellent machine ( I can remember when Clark equipment owned it. I think it originally was supposed to be under the Michigan label, but the Bobcat name caught on like wild fire. An advertising home run.) ... until Ingersoll-Rand bought it. The the quality went straight downhill. Hoping the new owners, Doosan, can turn it around.
When I hear “I’ve gotta start taking things off” I start getting prepared for AC to strip down the entire machine into the components of air, oxygen and water 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Well done on the fix, it must save you lot of time and money being your own mechanic. How are you getting on with the vlog on your background of wrenching and machinery operating.
Andy you got lucky. On your fix. Back in the day. I owned. A brand new 773. High flow. 2001 . I had one 1/4 hours on the machine. Between 14/15 years old everything started to come apart. Had problems with the bucket. Just like your's. But I had the front door with the alarm on it. Which does the same thing to the bucket,,,,, does not let the bucket come up. When the door is open.i learn over the years BOBCAT SKIDSTEER. DONT LIKE RAIN OR SITTING OUT SIDE ALL THE TIME. IT JUST CHEW THEM UP. I HAD TO SPEND 2300.00 dollars on my skidsteer just before I shipped it down the road to someone else . Had to put a new keyless key pad. Plus the brain box. Plus MR BOBCAT WRENCH. CAME OUT TO SET THINGS RIGHT. TO MAKE SURE NO OTHER PROBLEMS. FYI TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!! GO IN TO TRACTOR SUPPLY BUY A NEW HEAVY DUTY TARP. COVER THE MACHINE KEEP THE WEATHER OUT AND OFF EVERYTHING ONCE AGAIN. HAT OFF TO THE FIX. PS HEAR THE REAL NEW BOBCAT ARE JUNK. LOOKING AT KUBOTA. SSV65. Or caseSV185. For next new machine. Good luck JUNKMANDO
Yeah, good call. I'm not too impressed with the reliability of the bobcat, its nice when its working good though. At least it was cheaper than those other machines.
Could you do a video on how you find all the equipment you have and what you look for when you're buying equipment. Also how you got started running your own business, like how you learned everything and different types of jobs you had before?
There should be an orange pastic thing that holds the pinns in place. Go to your dealer and get one, Bobcat has boxes of connectors and pinns we can buy, with all of those plastic things inside. And im guessing they have one too. If you dont it will happen again. If you have an accutator problem it will affect one function, the tilt or the lift.
Nice work MAN! I Like YOU work and your Vídeos ! I have 1 miniexcavator and 1 Dumper and i do the same fithings as you du , and i Want to buy an Bobcat good Luck
If this were my machine, and I had to take this fault to the Dealer to repair, I wonder what I would have been charged with ?? That's where you are lucky Andrew, you're one of us, who can fix our own machines .
there is a valve in the spool that is controlled by electric magnet that controls flow its regulated by computer being it can't be bypassed with 12v it functions on 12v but holds on lower volts or you will burn it up but you can remove the valve have machine shop cut the spool and put a shim in it and reseal it then you would have flow any time so bypassed the safety feature it will go down with motor off but it can only work if the engine runs you
Looks like that plug is missing the pin retainer. There should be a gray, or red (usually) plastic retainer that goes in the plug to retain the pins and keep them aligned. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

I have a few questions one you own your excavation company with just you no employees right. And how hard is that. Also can you list all of your equipment you own. Also how long have you owned you business. Thanks from Canada
Yes, no employees. How hard is it? That's a good question, based on what? I like doing it, so I don't mind. I like it better than my previous job delivering mail. Its tough to pick a start date since it was a hobby that turned into a carrier, but I can say I left my previous job in 2011. I have skid steers, backhoe, dozer, dump truck, excavators, and all the little tools to keep them going.
Bobcat machines have the worst wiring issues that I have come across. I've seen super low hour machines with rub through wire problems, this should not happen. Cat machines made in the USA seem to have harnesses and securing that you could lift the machine by.
I got a 1987 bobcat the ahc light comes on, when i try to lift the bucket, it wont lift it has no strenght anybody have an idea what it is, how i can fix it?
I did another video on the subject that covered the diagnosing process much better, I ended up having to change the computer that time, the machine works most of the time now, but I still sometimes see that light, the trick is to just buy another brand machine.
I might, I did end up re-visiting this. And its still a problem with that machine. It should just be piolet control like every other machine so it stays working.
You are a amazing mechanic and an expert operator,I enjoy watching you work. However, it seems that you spend more time repairing your old equipment then working on your jobs .
my ford 1920 series backhoe had electrical problems I traced back to some tiny ass micro pins in a wire connector under the dash that were starting to turn green. so freakin tiny that they were a bitch to scrape clean, but that did the trick. something to keep in mind
FK YA BUD! Damb you are a great mechanic. What you posses that the average guy does not is the ability to "think" I know you dont understand what I am saying because you can think. You see the average person can not think themselves out of a wet paper bag. It is up there with real world university studies that show when polled the people that think they are smart are NOT and those that think they are below or average are ABOVE average in intelligence. I watch your vids mostly for the mechanical stuff. I love machines. Watching you trouble shoot them is fascinating. I have an idea and at the same time you have the same one and start down that path. I would work for you for free just to play with the machines. Alas the I am as far away from you as I can be and still be in N. american. Vancouver island BC. YOU are awesome.... love the way you think.
Laughing here, Andrew: trying to run with wires mixed up:" there you go, gotta shake of hell out of it..as he is haking the controlls wildly.. One of onl;y VERY few videos where he swears ..
Kurt, just the opposite.. i had it happen on a bobcat t190... just keept bleeding money.. spent about 15.000usd in one year on repairs... got rid of it in the end
Yeah, this thing should not have electronic controls for those valves. A crappy design. Once a machine continually breaks is when I sell it. This one has been good though. I consider 2000 hours low though. I have other machines with triple that.
Andrew Camarata my father got over 5k from his 864 issue free before it started dying. Although he has hand and foot control only. The issue is the electric for the AHC was problematic in the beginning. I wanted it in my Loader and my dealer wouldn't let me get it. It is better in the newer machines.
I just got a IHI machine to replace that bobcat. I like it so far, but its been winter, I need to get more hours in it. I just had to put a computer in that bobcat, it was expensive.
What an amazing bunch of BULLSHIT. Why in the world did a Skid Steer need to become as complicated as a friggin airplane? How is that better or safer than an old one without all the electronics?? Maybe Bobcat gets a million dollar discount on their liability insurance if they add 20 pounds of crap electronics to each machine......the customer pays for it anyway.
Good job finding that. It always feels good fixing a ongoing problem
Is there anything you can't fix? Jesus Christ. Absolute legend
My new favorite channel. You got some serious skills. Keep up the great work and interesting content.
"I've been having an issue with this ... for a while" haha I think this is how half your videos start :D
He does let an issue go a while doesn't he. LOL but I admit it is easier to find something that is "broke" as apposed to looking for something that does not work quite right.
Or "I'm on this job here today"
Don’t act like you fix it right away as it happens
FYI that Deutsch connector was missing the wedgelock that keeps the pins in line
Yes
code 32-33 Is a open circuit in the left Joystick Handle upper half with the buttons
There's better tech support on CZcams than anywhere else.
You said it.... we are all on your side here is why. might be stupid ideas but we are all trying to help... the guy on the help line just wants you to go away so he can answer another call....
What about code 32-31? It still says its the actuator but was wondering if you had anymore info
You sure are a patient guy. It paid off for sure. Saved some $$$. Well done. That error would’ve bugged the shit out of me too.
I'm so sick of these Bobcat criminals!!! I can't wait for an active shooter at Bobcat engineering!!!! Fuck you!!!
That finished well. I'm never that lucky on electrical problems. I see these people got their house up. Looks nice.
so glad that you finally got rid of this bobcat and finally replaced it with another skidsteer that has given you less trouble than the bobcat...
Electrical problems are so frustrating. House is coming along nicely. 👍
Thanks, there's a few other house videos coming out soon. This one was just quick and easy to edit.
Hope that this will solve the problem over time!
Nice progress on the build too!
Thx for the vid!
:-)
Good job on finding whate was roung with the Bobcat .
Something to look at on the G series machines is that fuse box that is right below the seat like between your legs. It seems to leak water and the fuses get just a little bit of corrosion and will cause things to go off and on. Ive had the traction not want to relese. Ive had the alternator not charge the battery.
Great video. Thanks for live troubleshooting
After binge watching all ur vids I gotta say I find it funny how this bobcat gives u problems frequently but the Japanese cl35 one has yet to be in a repair vid lol
We Have the same problem on our Bobcats; I will check if it works on our skids. Thanks for the upload
Nice fix Andrew
another person i watched had to replace the joy stick for the same reason, and that little control stick was over 1k. i hope that you found the problem
Good find Andrew!
GREAT VIDEO OF A LOGICAL THINKER.
Hey Andrew, I just bought a 753 bobcat and it has this problem so i am going to check what you have done . Thanks man
Yeah, this was a loose connection in the handle control. Its been working fine since than.
The machine is coming tomorrow, I got a really good deal on it cause of the problem . So that will be the first thing i check it just turned 2000 hrs
Great job, Andrew!
Hope that fixes it. Phantom problems are the worst followed by broken wires.
In my case it was a 'rat's nest', literally, but covered by insurance!
....13
P. S. The wiring jackets are made with a vegetable base oil, thus the rats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bravo4699 --- Ha, it was a two year old machine and the finance company required that I have full coverage and I'm glad I did!
Gotta love it when you catch it and its free
Yes, I am working on that video now.
Those are deutch connectors and it should have a green or orange lock wedge that holds the pins in place.
I think your right, I at least have the pins into each other now. I think they were just next to each other before.
Victorious! Did you do the "touch down" dance? Grab your pants and say, "How ya like me now?"
That plug should have a cap and a seal around it to hold the pins in place would recommend replacing or repair the plug ends
Wow 43K subs .... everytime you post a new video, it goes up
303K now!!
Yeah, I should, its been fine since I did that though.
Nice work MAN! I Like YOU work and your Vídeos !
I have 1 miniexcavator and 1 Dumper and i do the same fithings as you du , and i Want to buy an Bobcat good Luck
Andrew now that you have the portable hot power washer. Can it be used to clean the tracks at the end of the day ? Or will the water cause freezing ?
Seemed like you got the Error when jiggling that control stick.
Yeah, that was usually doing it right away. It was even doing it sometimes when running it smooth. At least I was sure it was the right control.
I had the same problem with my 08 Bobcat T190 a few years ago. It turned out to be a bad actuator.
Yeah, I initially though it was that. But the error code not changing when the plugs were switched said otherwise. I think that part was like $800?
If this were my machine, and I had to take this fault to the Dealer to repair, I wonder what I would have been charged with ??
That's where you are lucky Andrew, you're one of us, who can fix our own machines .
there is a valve in the spool that is controlled by electric magnet that controls flow its regulated by computer being it can't be bypassed with 12v it functions on 12v but holds on lower volts or you will burn it up but you can remove the valve have machine shop cut the spool and put a shim in it and reseal it then you would have flow any time so bypassed the safety feature it will go down with motor off but it can only work if the engine runs you
good find
what happened to hot water washer?
Working on stuff in the cold really sucks!
DANIEL DESIGNS his shop isn’t heated or cooled
@@MattWeaver909 Why do you say it's not heated? Pretty sure it is.
@@Sugarkryptonite Nope he's said it himself
Drive it, Shake it, like you rented it !!!! lol
What a pain in the ass to work on.
Andrew, don’t shake the Hell out of it TO much !!!
That saved you a lot of money
Looks like that plug is missing the pin retainer. There should be a gray, or red (usually) plastic retainer that goes in the plug to retain the pins and keep them aligned. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
I agree with you. I think that pin was just next to the socket before, now its in it. But your right, a part is missing.
Connection fault ..... been there many times as a service engineer :) Good find.
About the be another video on this topic. That machine has a similar problem. Its not that connector though.
The lift tilt coil is the likely problem but a speed sensor problem will give you the same codes.
A speed sensor would give you the same codes ,
the lift tilt coil is on top of the valve body closest to the front of the machine
It was that pin. I haven't had a problem since I re-plugged that in, and I have been using that machine allot.
Looks like theres a wedge peace missing were the plug pins are inside the connector that you had unpluged.
Yes, it got installed in a later video.
'that's what you gotta do shake the hell out of it' lol
That must be a pain in the ass working in all that mud

I have a few questions one you own your excavation company with just you no employees right. And how hard is that. Also can you list all of your equipment you own. Also how long have you owned you business. Thanks from Canada
Yes, no employees. How hard is it? That's a good question, based on what? I like doing it, so I don't mind. I like it better than my previous job delivering mail. Its tough to pick a start date since it was a hobby that turned into a carrier, but I can say I left my previous job in 2011. I have skid steers, backhoe, dozer, dump truck, excavators, and all the little tools to keep them going.
Andrew Camarata that’s pretty cool you seem to be making pretty good money out of a hobby
It's the computer acting up it will go out.
I have seen the future
Bahahaha
Sounds like a bad ground, it moves around , and just rusty or loose
Bobcat machines have the worst wiring issues that I have come across. I've seen super low hour machines with rub through wire problems, this should not happen. Cat machines made in the USA seem to have harnesses and securing that you could lift the machine by.
Yeah, I would like a cat next. I'm not to impressed with the reliability of the bobcats.
I got a 1987 bobcat the ahc light comes on, when i try to lift the bucket, it wont lift it has no strenght anybody have an idea what it is, how i can fix it?
I did another video on the subject that covered the diagnosing process much better, I ended up having to change the computer that time, the machine works most of the time now, but I still sometimes see that light, the trick is to just buy another brand machine.
convert to old school cables. Alot of expenses on computer and actuators failing .
I might. IDK, I am ready to sell that machine. I am done with Bobcat brand. I got an IHI skid steer. I feel like it is going to be more reliable.
Get rid of the plugs and solder the wires directly together! No corrosion or loose connections! #AC
I might, I did end up re-visiting this. And its still a problem with that machine. It should just be piolet control like every other machine so it stays working.
You can have a series on just the bobcat get rid of it!!!!
Yeah. I wont buy any more Bobcats. All they do is break.
You are a amazing mechanic and an expert operator,I enjoy watching you work. However, it seems that you spend more time repairing your old equipment then working on your jobs .
thanks 4 video. be kind........
Do you want to sell it?
my ford 1920 series backhoe had electrical problems I traced back to some tiny ass micro pins in a wire connector under the dash that were starting to turn green. so freakin tiny that they were a bitch to scrape clean, but that did the trick. something to keep in mind
Bobcat goes wrong, = expensive repair bills.
I would get a CAT skid
I replaced this with an IHI
👍👍👍.
Where your headphones because it is so loud
Pilot controls be better IMO
Yeah, I agree. Bobcat screwed up on that one.
Its always a Bobcat
Clean the grounds on neg. Battery post...will fix 95% of faults.. ....
Laughing here, Andrew: trying to run with wires mixed up:" there you go, gotta shake of hell out of it..as he is haking the controlls wildly.. One of onl;y VERY few videos where he swears ..
Hu
The
typical 2000 hour problem on bobcat... this is just the start of a lot of problems !! it is a never ending story and money pit..
LEJMA Maskin udlejning and let me guess this would never happen on one of your machines?
Those codes are a lifesaver. Ive always been able to fix my 2 763s by process of elimination and the codes
Get a Kubota, Hydro over hydro, not el. over hydro junk...
Yeah, that's been an ongoing problem. I would not want that system again.
Andrew Camarata not sure about the Takeushi but they are JP made, must be good...
I agree. No need for error code lights. Same with autos.
Still it's not Japanese made. Bobcat sucks sell.
Still having problems with the AHC light, even after replacing an expensive computer. The machine does operate though.
From your videos seems that BobCat breaks a lot. And a lot of times when they send you parts they are not correct ones. 🥲
Yeah, that’s why it’s only in old videos
