- The audience was charmed as Elee flawlessly begged, played dead, played the drum and leapt into Miss Lamalle's arms.
Elee won the victor's rosette, a small glass trophy, no money, but glory.
Miss Lamalle, a business assistant, who trained with her dog for just five minutes a day to prevent it getting bored, said: "She's going to get as many sausages as she wants."

Wow, much winning, very competition, such crufts.
This is a perfect example of what trust, love and respect from both human and canine can achieve. A primitive breed does not easily take to doing things that would possibly put her in danger. She obviously feels very secure with her person :-)

Truly amazing. This must be a very special Shiba because they have this stubborn side in their personality. And a very patient and loving owner of course who mad it possible.
The looks they give each other really show they care for one another.
I don't think it's a shame :). A Shiba may not express its devotion and friendship in the same way that a Golden does, but that doesn't make the friendship any less real or valid. Most of us that keep the breed were looking for an animal totally unlike a Golden and were glad that we found it. If you work hard and meet the Shiba halfway, you'll absolutely find a best friend. You just have to be willing to understand that it feels different and may be earned in a different way.
Fantastic - Shibas are not only adorable and cute, theyre also soooo smart - it's so great to see how much she is concentrating on her owner even in this stressfull situation :)

Indeed. Shiba are smart enough to know they can do pretty much what they want, and get most of what they want. I love every dog type, they all have virtues, but I have never encountered a more cunning dog than a Shiba.
I totally agree, we recently moved into an apartment and my 12 year old shiba is the most determined little girl I have ever met. She has broken the barriers and fencing we have put up to cover the gap that leads into the neighbours balcony just because she can. We finally had a full solid piece of wood bolted into the partisan. I love both my babies but my goodness shiba are the most headstrong little dears.

That’s amazing considering they are veryyy hard to train. My Shiba Inu hates other dogs and only sits if i have a treat for him. The most he can do is walk to two legs ( if i have a treat of course) 😂

She's worked very hard with her little bitch and should be proud. Well done! Shibas aren't a "traditional" freestyle or obedience breed, but more and more, we have owners that are proving that the breed can excel in many venues.
The Shiba Inu is a "real" dog. Mine weighs 27 pounds but will go right up to a 100 lb dog without feeling intimidated. This breed has been documented since 300 BC as a hunting dog. They are stubborn because they are too smart. My Shiba has actually trained family and friends to get him treats. Everyone gets a kick out of it.

Have you ever owned a Shiba? They do not care to impress their owners, they are extremely independent. If you get one with the right temperment, the breed is amazing. Otherwise, they are a very stubborn dog.
Most breed from asia are not the smartest breeds but the cutest.

Shiba Inu's are the best looking dogs, it's just unfortunate they aren't a best friend animal like you might find in a Golden Retriever. Also I'm surprised an event like this not only has a stadium but clearly sold a great deal of seats...I mean that audience looked some kind of bored.

Lol! I don't know anything about the breed, but your comment made me Llol (Literally Lol). Have you seen the video of Shiba Inu 'Kaze' running amok during an agility contest at Westminster?
