This is a good commercial for this generator!! To operate in that cold windy weather and to start right up like that.
Even more impressive with the Grenergy Tri-fuel kit. I will also post a video of this generator running on natural gas out in the cold. The best videos are the ones seen where generators are used in extreme conditions and emergency situations. It just makes sense as most folks use them for this very reason. New York had real bad weather for a whole week, imagine the whole city shut down with no driving orders while being stuck at home just worried if your lights will still be on.
If you let the exhaust from the generator
warm the propane, you can keep your
propane warm during the winter.
I wouldn't recommend that, heating up one spot of the propane tank will cause the metal to expand in that one area rather than warming up the tank evenly all around. What you have said works, but from a liability standpoint I wouldn't chance it, especially when I'm out there running a generator to keep my family safe.
that brand of the heating blanket is not cheap either, I just looked it up.

Pre-pandemic you could find them for $100-$120. Prices on these has gone up but they are still a life saver if you absolutely depend on your generator.

I just converted my 2 Hondas 2200's to propane using your kits. Was very easy to do for someone like me who is not a diyer. Great video.

Excellent! I also got my 10-circuit generator transfer switch all wired into my main panel. Just need to finish the input run out to the garage where the L14-30P box will be. For now, through this storm, I have an extension cord receptacle on the input wires to plug in my little Predator 2000 if needed. Looking forward to testing out the 3500 on propane and natural gas!

Great video! I am going to look into that tank blanket. I have a catalytic heater in the garage that keeps shutting down when connected to a 20lb tank in the dead of winter. I also see one of those inverter generators in my future!
