  • Walleye make most of us think about northern U.S. states like Minnesota and Wisconsin, but walleye are native to Arkansas and provide great fishing action -- and they're also one of The Natural State's tastiest fish. We're fishing Greers Ferry Lake for walleye, and then we're visiting the Andrew Hulsey Fish Hatchery to see how Game and Fish supplements walleye production through an annual spawning project. Finally, we'll head to the deck and fire up the PK Grill to cook "walleye on the halfshell."

I wish Arkansas would stock our lakes with yellow perch. They are so tasty.

Croppy aren't in the same league with walleye. Croppy are good but mushy. Walleye are firm and flaky. Only thing better than walleye is yellow perch.
