  • Science for kids investigates simple electrical circuits - Parallel Circuit with lightglobes.
    Jacob and Sam set up a parallel circuit using lightglobes.
    As additional globes are added in parallel, the brightness of each globe remains the same, as they have the same voltage across them, and the same resistance, they have the same current through them.
    However, with each globe added, the battery has to do more work.
    If one of the globes breaks, the other globes are not affected. This is why parallel circuits are so commonly used.
    This can be done easily at home using some wires, a battery and a number of lightglobes.
