    What if we ad banana and clove and orange flavors via mini muslin bags and magnets to move them into the wort while it is still under pressure?

    Fermenting a hefe now using the tradition method. Now I'm going to have to try it in my Fermentasaurus Snub Nose.

    Hefeweizen is one of my favourite beers. Would it be good to use a water filter jug to filter the water first ?

    One upon a time they made hopped DME, that would be perfect for this application.

    I did once do a 100% Wheat DME beer and the FG was around 1.017 and way too sweat for hefe. After checking with some online recipe calculators they would have guessed that FG. So seems like Wheat DME has lot of more unfermentable sugards than for example Light DME. So I think adding the honey saved this recipe.

    When you set pressure, and eventually move to the fridge, how do you adjust your pressure for the psi drop?

    Good morning Dr. I do enjoy all your experiments. Your humor is always good for a laugh. Question. Are you serving out of the fermentation vessel with your beer on the yeast and hops?

    • @DrHansBrewery

    I've always found extract doesn't ferment out as much as all grain, sometimes by as much as 5 points or more.

    why does your sanitizer look like dirty toilet water? asking for a friend.

    • @DrHansBrewery
      @DrHansBrewery  Před 2 lety

      Tell your friend that it's Sani clean which looks a little bit different from.for example Star San. But my water is full of minerals that makes any sanitizer instant murky.
