@@RossReviewsau How does it compare for example (choosing 2 different cars from different price ranges) compare with a KIA Stinger or Supra? Lastly, is there a ride you could not live with? I found as i got older, my tolerance for ride has changed dramatically. I'd welcome your thoughts
i havent been able to drive a FK8 yet.. but i will say this car is an absolute beast.. seriously FAST! n the AWD makes it a monster in the corners.. i would recommend you test drive both to be sure man.. only thing ill say is that the CLA45 is expensive to run.. service $$$ parts $$$ insurance $$$ + Depreciation.. still amazing car to drive
@@RossReviewsau yeah bro.. i have test driven both.. got pro and cons FK8 - cheap to maintain but the mod temptation is real ( usd 3k just for an 18” wheels ).. plus hondata and some minor bolts on to have a 45 AMG performance and not sure if manual 6s still relevant in 2020 , I’ve driven manuals for 8 yrs ( B series) vtec CLA45 AMG - Beast for sure + superb transmission .. not much mods needed.. pretty sure the maintenance on upside but it doesn’t come in 1 shot as FK8 bolt ons and management) Both cars hold value pretty well id say where I’m comin from (Malaysia) after 3 yrs CLA45 still hold 70% residual value due to an inflated newer version of CLA45s

@@RossReviewsau you should man.. each cars has their own characters.. i had enough of honda and manual transmissions 😝..therefore the CLA45 came into serious considerations .. I bet the CLA45 price everywhere is quite strong in terms of the depreciation it’s pretty much more reliable unlike other EU cars.. Were considering Golf R , but the VW (Visit Workshop) reputation over here is terrible hence the nickname 🤣😂
unless you have no money worries i would stay away.. i have heard they have issues the older they get and because they run crazy stock boost.. they flog out quick i think
For those in the future wondering, I bought my 2016 with 30K miles and have 95K miles on it now with a Eurocharged stage 2 tune for most of those miles I put on it. No issues with the motor or any drivetrain parts. I've only had issues with the headlights getting water in them and wheel bends from the low profile tires lol.
The only delay you get in this car is when you floor it from slow speed/stopped (unless you use launch control) this car is seriously quick tho I promise you. The facelifted CLA45s like the one I had for suspension button 🤙
Ross Reviews sounds like launch control wasn’t engaged “race start”. I had a evo x fbo plus e85 and my cla45 with racestart feels faster than my evo on a launch.
@@ORG4Runna there may be a setting to increase the revs? but it was definitely engaged if you see in the video the first pull i do is without it and its significantly slower.. 4.1 seconds is no easy number thats quick! i reckon it launched harder as well with launch control engaged

tune for $2k will get you around the 4.1sec mark and 35-40kw more power
The only difference is the tune between a prefacelift and facelift, any aftermarket tune will bring either one into the mid to high 3 sec mark 0-100
